And to finish the looks off you'll need the belly pan/lower fairing at the bargain price of £623 + VAT.

I remember when the MT09 came out at a bargain under £7k. Which fair enough is £9k now adjusted for inflation, and it had some extra leccy bits since. But £12,500 is taking the piss. And that's before you take into account wage inflation which is miles off inflation over that time period.

It's a different bike though mate, I'm way past riding around on actual race replicas on the road, the XSR is obviously a nod to race reps of the past, it sort of looks like an endurance racer style but it's very definitely more road orientated than track.

I sat on the XSR900 at the NEC show and I reckon it's about on the limit of riding position that I could stand these days, but that R1 would kill me in twenty minutes.

I was comparing the vast difference in spec for same price.

A sportsbike with comfort mods gets the best bang for your buck,but it's not so easy to do that to a dedicated sportsbike without making it look like a repaired crashed bike.

I've toured France many times 2 up on GSXR1000s. And rode it to Portimao in Autumn.
My touring pals all have V4 Panigales now.

It's all a bit mental when you consider the MT09s origins were a budget fun bike costing £7k when it came out. Yeah it's improved, yeah inflation. But 15.5k fuck that.

Yep...15k is far too much and having to buy half the bodywork is a piss take. Its a 10k bike, no more. Imo.
