Actually, thinking about it, that's a bit like riding a motorbike. Earplugs/helmet/visor/gloves + funny boots that make it difficult to walk. Woah! Riding a bike is preparation for getting old! Now then, I've noticed that putting the key into the ignition is becoming a bit difficult. Goes in so far with ease but the last bit needs some force.
What's best, squirt some WD or similar or not. The mighty REs first sign of distress.

OK, can give that a go. Tbh, I have squirted gt85 and hasn't made much difference. On new external house doors they do say don't squirt any sprays, just that fine powder stuff. I might imagine, ignitions are slightly different.

In the passed I've always used sprays on ignitions and switches, maybe times have changed.

Well the results are in....
Acf50 on key and left in ignition for an hour and it's much better. Reckon it's a bit more slimey than spray. Bit of thick oil might work aswel.

ACF50 will eat up any corrosion and prevent more forming. (and provide lubrication)

There used to be a trick where you scribbled on the key with a graphite pencil but most 'graphite' pencils these days aren't a solid graphite core but powdered graphite mixed with binders.

Bs = soft, more graphite
