Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
I got roped into helping my 70 year old dad "tidy up" an elderly friends house on the Isle Of Wight
In just a few hours, we had gone from
To this
We also fixed a leaky toilet, repaired a broken extractor fan and a few other small jobs. All in it was a good days work.

Have you guys tried riding a motorbike? It's fucking awesome
Popped out for a spin on the new toy this afternoon - I'm about 400 miles in now and I am sooooo much back in the groove all of a sudden.
Because it's a teeny engine, I can basically keep it pinned the entire way around my favourite local roads and I am grinning from ear to fucking ear.

He likes to get the better of people, that's what he thrives on, always finding an angle or loophole, or as my dear old ma used to say, sailing close to the wind!
He'll be more annoyed he's been rumbled than having to pay up!

Nope. I'm out of the loop on this one. Have HMRC decided King Brian owes some back tax?

That's a fair bit of loose change.

Well, if we're talking about Ecclestone I imagine the payment will come out of one of his companies rather than his pocket...but he did seem to think that F1 was his pocket.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 5:55 pmSix hundred and forty million quid, tis what i heard on the radio.Demannu wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 5:15 pmYehbut it's £160m x number of years + fine.MrLongbeard wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 1:05 pm

Bernie Ecclestone (spelling) of Formula 1 fame has been found guilty of not declaring £400 million (or billion) of assets.Count Steer wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 5:21 pm Nope. I'm out of the loop on this one. Have HMRC decided King Brian owes some back tax?
Huge fine, and back taxes. But he's rich, so no jail time.

Re: Insignificant Things That Make You Happy.
Having a plumber next door
A connection in the garden water routes had been playing up so I replaced it.
Kept going pop and finally did it again today. Hottest day for ages . 37c and was getting pissed off. Endlessly turning water off for whole house, messing about with connection only to see it leak again.
Asked neighbour to pop round. He instantly spotted problem. They'd given me a wrong seal. Only 1mm out, but enough to leak. He had a spare so now ok
He's round for a BBQ Monday so will pamper him then.

Christina Aguilera's tits in the latest Just Eat advert.
Does that make me misogynistic, or just a breast enthusiast?
