I know they're no every ones cup of tea, but I loves a Hard Rock (I'm sure that's going to get mis-quoted). I've been in 16 different ones, iirc.

That one is practically on my door step!
I always used to love me a Pig Sandwich*, but that was back in the day when you just didn't get American BBQ in the UK. You do now, and, well, the HRC (ha!) one just ain't all that IMO.

London has some pretty impressive gear though. The one in Orlando (the biggest/formerly the biggest) also has loads of cool stuff.

Not been to one in nearly 10 years though now I think on it! From memory I've done London, Orlando, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Nottingham and Barcelona.

My rents have got a massive board of HRC guitar fridge magnets. They're pretty stereotypical tourists

*Which IIRC isn't actually called that any more.

Never been to or even seen one.
We went to the one at Niagra Falls. Was really cool, in a trashy American way :)
No. I tell a lie. It was the ones owned by Arnie, Stallone etc and their cronies.

Local garage only charges £45 an hour for labour so they can fix the broken suspension coil mine failed on

Tight arses :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Just looked and cigs in UK are about £12 a packet.

Was in supermarket earlier and guy in front asked for a specific pack of fags.
The lass said €2.80 por favor.

He said they were only €2.50 at the other supermarket. Looked disgusted.

The lass put them back on the shelf and lots of giggling and quiet comments from others in the queue :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Had a colonoscopy this morning and the doc found something. He's not put it on the urgent list, but gonna arrange a small procedure to take care of it when the biopsy results come back.
He's not at all worried,, but I'm fucking glad it's been caught early.

Fingers crossed nothing serious.

My employer allows free BUPA screenings every other year, or every year for over 50's. Two of my colleagues have never been but have never been able to explain why they don't go. None of my business, of course, but I suspect it's because they'll get told things they don't want to hear about their lifestyle.

Me personally, I'd rather know sooner then later if there's anything wrong, as I can then try to get it sorted before it has me pushing up daisies.

Hope all turns out ok 👌

I had mine done due to severe abdominal pain. They found a couple of polyps and removed them.

Pain was caused by a mega kidney stone, which was odd as I've had them for thirty years or so. This one was different from the usual.

Good luck @Yorick

After a time two of us joined what someone named the 'three balls club' (I had a hydrocele*, he a cyst), the pub conversion turned one evening to the subject of self-checks.

Half the group (so about 6) said they never did.

Not especially insignificant to me, on two counts!

Firstly my mum just called - on FaceTime!! First time I've seen her in about 4 years. So that was cool. And extra cool that we had a long and civilised conversation - she's mellowing in old age!! We've never had a great relationship so this feels good :D

Secondly, she was expecting me to go over this or next week for my nephew's 18th. When I said that I couldn't she's offered to pay for the flights :o :o

So, neither insignificant but both have made me very happy!! :D :D
