I learnt a new French word this summer 'Mignon' it means cute. Probably directed at my dog but maybe it was for me?

I meant to mention, I stayed at a place in Portugal recently, nice owner, with a very sweet dog also called Elvis! Really couldn't tell his age, other than he was really slow ( I thought he was just being cool ) but apparently he was 15.

The youngest has a thing of waking up early on the first day of term to get dressed & ready. It's become a tradition.

She started 6th form/college today and sent me a snapchat of her in her 1st day outfit at half three this morning.

I'll be asleep within two hours.

Saw the CEO of my bank in the office yesterday. Asked him nicely if he could find some time to record a video reciting snippets of lyrics that I could play at the next quiz night in October. He laughed and said he thought it was a great idea and would do it and round up other board members too.

It adds time and money to a journey to somewhere hot and cheap so Brits are more likely to fly to a Spanish or Greek island instead of driving or the train to Southern Europe like people on the continent tend to do.
