One of my best friends daughter has passed yesterday. 16 year old . Cancer. They don’t give a flying fuck what the temp is today.
Indeed
It's tough losing a child (of any age).

Pop down to Lerryn. Lovely little village, car park on the river where you can stay overnight, great pub. Bit narrow getting there, but you’ll be fine if you’re not too huge. I assume you’re in a van?

My train this morning has just hit a tree between Manningtree and Ipswich, not going anywhere now - should have stayed in bed!

Just cooked green Thai chicken curry, with added leek, celery, broad beans and spinach, washed down with a delightfully cheeky chilled Picpoul de Pinet.
There is no cloud, just somebody else's computer.

"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

I wasn't driving, passenger, but as a contractor to the operator and technically competent (
) had to get involved with supporting traincrew.
4 hours to detrain with NR and BTP staff, then await recovery - once the recovery boys arrived I beat a hasty retreat back in the direction of home and pick up the day job!
Pretty significant damage to the train and pulled down 200m of OHL.

New boots time!
Slip him a fiver and tell him to get busy cleaning while he waits for the tyres to inflate.

No, it's hiding behind the billboard of a number plate

Right now feeling a little emotional. Today would have been my silver wedding anniversary.
I've ended up doing far better than I ever imagined and have an amazing life.
Lots of mixed emotions.
Pen's in UK and its too hot to walk into town. So having a few cold 'uns by myself and bit of weeping.
Often wonder how she'd have turned out instead of leaving us at only 29.

I remember your thread on VD. Proper dusty the day I read it.
I am glad it all worked out so well for you, a good marriage is a good thing, 2 in a row is bloody outstanding. Keep up the good work.

Unfortunately it happened to a very good VD pal only a few years later.
He hit the jackpot and got a little 'un now.

It's funny that I mention "the motorbike forum" when I talk to people but it's the same bunch of people that have been online together for 30 years.
