Re: utterly random picture thread.
I had a job setting up a marquee at Brands for a big race, it felt weird as on normal days the track is just a wide road to get round the site.

I used to always go to tracks night before I was instructing. They always let me into the pits.
Was eerily quiet.
Always had a barbies and a few cold 'uns from the camper fridge.
Coolest was always Mallory sat by the lake watching fish jumping

Just when you thought there was nothing more you could do with an ICE engine...(swipe right to see how it works). It's either genius or bonkers (possibly both!). 500cc and a fair amount of power from a light engine.

As is usually the case, it's not a new idea. Not by a long shot! Swashplate engines and variations of them have been around for donkeys years.
I've yet to find an invention which hasn't been thought of before

My dad left everything to my mum, except this, which over 25 years ago he told me would be my inheritance I only managed to find it last week...

Interesting, if you read down towards the bottom of the article, the nearest one to this cam-plate engine, the Dyna-cam, flew for 7 hours in a Piper Arrow and access to the Internet archive on it blocked. It looks like it's been picked up again and maybe they're keeping details under wraps for commercial purposes.
Seems too good to be true though.

To be fair, and I'm sure this won't surprise you, you can generally tell these inventions are too good to be true cause they're all over social media rather than being somewhere useful
