Remember the Ford P100...
Those who possess real knowledge are rare.
Those who can set that knowledge into motion in the physical world are rarer still.
The few who possess real knowledge and can set it into motion of their own hands are the rarest of all.

One of the big oil companies, Esso maybe, ran a fleet of Metro pick ups in the 1980's. They were coming to the end of their useful life in 1988/89. I tried buying one at the time.

I like the P100 and Ranger but mainly because they were non 4x4 and easier to load a bike on. P100 suffered in the British climate.

Good call. I've just had a look at some pictures of Escort cars and vans and I think you're right. Converting a van to a pickup was probably easier as well.David wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 9:08 pmI think it was from a van...different roof line.Julian_Boolean wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 1:22 pm The Escort is massively wrong, but somehow right.
Has he made the windows look smaller by painting the glass?
As for Wratty's metro pick up - what do you expect from Norfolk?

Customs seized many, many P100 pickups during the days when smuggling booze was in fashion. They were the vehicle of choice, just ahead of Volvo 245 estate.dayglo jim wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 12:44 pmI like the P100 and Ranger but mainly because they were non 4x4 and easier to load a bike on. To stop them being auctioned off and getting back onto the hands of other smugglers, they were crushed.
Dozens and dozens ended their lives like this, long before the tinworm had a chance to get to them.
