Paddock stand recommendation
I bought an Oxford Premium stand , which seems to be best recommended paddock stand everywhere.
Mine is okay - using the cups it just about lifts the rear of the speedy - but not really enough to rotate the rear wheel cleanly.
On the Scrambler, it lifts the bike with a few degrees lilt to the left. The left leg appears to bend in - it's not - it is where the leg joins the handle, it rotates inwards, despite being torqued up correctly. It doesn't appear to do the same under load on the right. But you can rotate the right leg to match. So on the cups the force is being held by the drilled holes and the bolts.
If I use the track bobbins on the Scrambler, they seem to hold every in place - and it lifts as it should do.
I have arranged to send it back to Sportsbikeshop - who have said they are happy to refund.
Am I worrying too much ( and should just use the bobbins on the Scram) and should I just use it ( its a PITA to send back)
Or am I right to worry about the bike toppling over?

I have an ABBA - can be used on the old Speedy
But can't be used on the 1200 Scrambler

Is it not a matter of getting the right fittings, or is the Scrambler too high to lift the wheels if you use the swingarm pivot?

Bit Heath Robinson, but could you put some blocks or something under the ABBA where it pivots to lift it up a bit?

If you are set on a paddock stand,I've used a Harris front and rear for years. Good quality kit,though I don't know how much they are now.

The best paddock stand I have is an old Micron one, much better than the Oxford one I also have.

I have the Harris front stand that locates under (and inside) the headstock and it is without doubt the best engineered stand I've ever used. Just change the insert pin and it's been used on at least 5 different bikes I've owned.
There is no cloud, just somebody else's computer.

I have the oxford premiums and don't think that much of them. I would definitely use bobbins rather than cups with paddock stands though, its a lot more stable.

As per the big cheesey bloke, my favourites used to be Micron and Champion. The Champion stand I liked most because it was wider than average and kept the bike very stable

The split handle thing really didn’t work - allowing the two support arms to rotate in , when on cups. So stress on the bolts holding it together and an un-nerving cup angle one side

ABBA stand for my SP3. No solution for the Scrambler other than a bigger stand with adjustable arms.

Harris stand for the rear or ABBA stand for shock or front end jobs.

Didn't see this before replying on the other paddock stand thread - yes I'm sure you can get cups for it. As Skub I’ve used Harris front and rear paddock stands for years, I also use the Harris yoke stand.
You won’t go wrong with them, maybe more expensive than others but worth it.
