Re: S1000RR Sport 2022
if it's the 9 pin diagnostic, you can get a cable off eBay for about 9 quid and a generic odb reader, then you just download the Motoscan app.
I bought the expensive odblink reader but I'm told a 14 quid one will do the same job.

It won’t work, it’s a 16 pin on the newer S1000RR’s and the older ones are 10 pin, the GS911 is the one to have. My mate has one anyway so don’t need to purchase anything just now, if I still have this bike when the warranty runs out I’ll get one as I’ll be doing everything myself.

I think I'd be looking for a new dealer after the hassle you've had with this one?wull wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 7:46 pmIt won’t work, it’s a 16 pin on the newer S1000RR’s and the older ones are 10 pin, the GS911 is the one to have. It's probably struggling to keep up with demand!wull wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 6:55 pm Fault showing up, I thought I had switched off and back I. Three times before it was normal again but it was only the twice. Will get the GS911 hooked up to see and call BMW as well. I’ve checked the battery and it’s fine, some have suggested that could throw up faults due to a low return voltage from certain sensors but I’m leaning more towards this being a singular fault code that will show up once plugged in.
My instincts are telling me fuel pump but I will have to wait and see.

Re: S1000RR Sport 2022
Maybe so, the bleed nipple incompetence was 100% their fault but this could just simply be a bike fault versus anything to do with them. But I find it strange that this happened after the service, albeit it’s very intermittent. Once I’ve went to my mates and got the code I’ll have a sniff about, check connections for whatever is mentioned.Bigjawa wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 8:09 pmI think I'd be looking for a new dealer after the hassle you've had with this one?wull wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 7:46 pmIt won’t work, it’s a 16 pin on the newer S1000RR’s and the older ones are 10 pin, the GS911 is the one to have. But like I said I’ll phone BMW and get it dealt with, I’d like to say to them that it’s been plugged in and it’s this that and the next.

Latest update on matey's beemer.
An oil leak meant the bike went back to the dealership for the second time. They fucked about with it for a fortnight, then decided it must be the oil cooler leaking. During the bike's stay for extensive guesswork,he asked for a courtesy bike. "You can have one if you bring it back here every evening before we close".
He got the bike back a couple of days ago and while he was fitting the new Akro,he noticed the oil was missing from the level window. It took a litre of oil to register on the sight glass. Dealer said,'we don't know how that happened",we'll send you a litre of oil.
He called in at my place on his bike today and I asked if the leak was all sorted,he said he didn't know, this was it's first run. I had a look and there is oil gathering around the M6 on the front left of the sump. That'll be a no,then.
Other inspiring workmanship included, instead of unplugging the air sensors from the loom, they just spun the sensors out of the exhaust and hoped they'd unscrew before the wires broke.

The people in question are part of a large group of multiple franchises for cars and bikes who have been in court several times for dodgy things.Supermofo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 4:07 pmThat's nuts considering BMW are supposed to be premium!Skub wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 3:28 pm Latest update on matey's beemer.

I remember peeking into their workshop one day and seeing a 748 with no engine or swingarm, resting against a wall with the subframe propped up on an oil drum.

Re: S1000RR Sport 2022
It should literally take 5 mins to figure out where it’s leaking from, mental!
And the rest beggars belief, like I’ve said before and I’m sure I’ll say it again trust no cunt especially these so called “mechanics” “technicians” whatever the feck you want to call them.

Re: S1000RR Sport 2022
Latest update on matey's bike.
In the dealers for the same oil leak and he gets a call today from the service manager. "Bad news, your bike has fall off the lift".
They've given him a couple of options.
Order the parts in and fix the bike, replace it with a demo bike exactly the same model and colour with 600 miles,or we can get you a new one in December.
Given the clusterfuck his ownership of this bike has been, personally I'd be glad they dropped it off the lift, rather than wondering what's going to go wrong next.

Re: S1000RR Sport 2022
What the fuck
Well mine is going, needing a car so I’ve traded it in. Pick new car up on Monday or Tuesday, will be sad to see it go but I need a car as the wife is going to be working here there everywhere with her job so she’ll need the current car and I ain’t commuting through the winter on the S1krr and ruining it, I’d struggle to get out my drive and up the street when the conditions are frozen.
Time to take the parts off and sell separately
