Is the sensible approach.

I think because i've won before, I don't really expect to again, so its a bit of financial damage limitation! :?

Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition

The modern day Aston Martin Vantage is already incredibly capable & impressive.

With the addition of the F1 Edition, the Vantage has really sprung into life & the package creates far more than just an extreme & expensive newer version of the Vantage.

Everyone already knows and loves the modern Vantage, but with the with improvements attached to the F1 Edition, the performance, handling and tweaks to the interior make it feel more special than ever.

The 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo engine fitted to the Vantage F1 Edition is capable of producing just under 530bhp (almost 30bhp more than standard) & 685nm of torque. Meaning 0-62mhp can be achieved in as little as 3.6seconds!

I entered a draw for a Tag Monaco this week, cost me 11p cause I'd got a few loyalty points

Not even entirely sure I like the Monaco, I blow hot and cold on it. But for 11p I don't have to make up my mind really.

I had a punt on the Corvette because £110k for a £10 bet seemed worth it.
There are only two cars I fancy in the current comps, the Range Rover and the Caterham, but I've got better versions of both already.

I met a fortune teller years ago who read my fortune (and I think it's a load of cobblers but over the years a lot of it has proved uncannily correct) - he said I'd never win or be gifted anything and I'd have to work for everything I had, so it looks like that bit is correct as well

Funnily enough, I’m wanting another van, I miss my LWB Sprinter but next time I’m wanting something smaller that I can daily with ease, but still use for track days etc.

That's a lot of liability sitting there, you'd need deep pockets to run, maintain and repair those, that's why they're so cheap to buy out of the warranty period.

The cash alternative is the sensible thing to do on that one.

I do kinda wonder what they do with the cars when someone takes the cash alternative. The only reason these raffle sites have the cars in the first place is because they were a twat to move on...

The Jag is bad enough, if I knew beforehand that routine servicing, tyres and brakes would average about £1100 a year I might have looked for something else. The R versions are a big jump up from that to service.

Lately, i've questioned why I keep my Velar. £600 pa road tax. £800+ a year warranty. £300 a year insurance. Thats before I turn a wheel. I got it at the end of Novemeber last year and haven't covered a 1000 miles in it yet. I doubt I'll do more than 2000 in a year.
