Maybe not;
Mr Shah explained: 'When someone acquires the property through a raffle in this way, their capital gains tax base cost is considered to be the market value of the property at the time they acquired it.

'Assuming the market value of the property when it was won is £2.5million - as advertised in the raffle -, that becomes the prize winner's capital gains base cost.

'If they subsequently sell the property for £2.65million, they will make a capital gain of £150,000. This is calculated by taking £2.65million and subtracting their capital gains base cost of £2.5million.'
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/property/ar ... -draw.html

Obvs, you'd probably better check with an accountant / HMRC rather than taking the word of one in the Daily Mail, but win a house valued at £4.5 million, you can sell at £4.5 mill or below and not be subject to CGT

2019 - Moto Guzzi V7 III Stone, Full Trofeo Body Kit
Calling out to our true bike lovers with this one and all things Italian with the gorgeous Moto Guzzi V7. This 2019 V7 Stone model has been given a very unique full ‘Trofeo Clan’ body kit which includes tank, removable rear seat cowl, trim, nose cone and shield etc at almost £2k in cost and creating a very tidy cafe racer look.

It's also been fitted with a set of MIVV exhausts with removable baffles (£400) and let us tell you this Italian twin makes a fantastic noise creating music to the ears as you rally through the gears effortlessly on the country roads. The V7 is a very well built bike and rides superbly well, a great bike for any rider of all levels and being a Moto Guzzi all you need is a pair of jeans and a leather jacket and some sun to feel true motorcycle history as you enjoy that V twin engine.

I've bagged a couple on this. The reason being is I miss a convertible and i'll try and convince the wife it's better than her current Mini. I dont think I've much chance of winning, or convincing her if I do, but Fortune favours the bold!

My brain is weird, if that was a fiver a ticket I'd have 3 or 4, but I'll be buggered if I'm wasting close to 9 quid a ticket :silent: so I've had 3 on the mini, although I'll have a devil of a time keeping it from the daughter if I win.

I don't tend to buy revcomp tickets much anymore. I use the 99p a ticket sites, even though the odds are much longer I don't feel i'm wasting so much money! :wtf:

I used to play weekly, but its less than monthly nowadays, and then only if something I'd want to keep and drive comes up.

You’re not alone there, I don’t like how RevComps have gone for more souped up stuff and some of their daily’s are higher mileage than before.
Bridge Classics have some nice old motors, or the cheap ticket stuff, always worth a try, someone has to win!!

Ferrari & £5k or £120k. 99p a ticket. I've bought 3!

Ferrari 488 GTB Atelier

The Ferrari 488 is the first mid-engine Ferrari to use a turbocharged V8 since the legendary F40.

The 488 GTB is powered by a 3.9L twin turbo V8 engine, smaller in displacement but generating a higher power output than the previous 458's naturally aspirated engines.

The 3.9L twin turbo V8 engine is capable of producing just under 660bhp & around 760nm of torque. Meaning the Ferrari 488 GTB can shift from 0-62mph in as little as 3.0seconds!

If a regular 488 GTB wasn't impressive enough, this example has an individual specification created by Atelier - the Ferrari Personalization Programme. The triple layer, Rosso Fuoco paintwork alone was a £15,000 optional extra!

We're giving you the chance to own this beautiful example of a Ferrari 488 GTB for as little as 99p! You do not want to miss this!

I only play on revcomps and only for stuff I actually want, or the cash alternative. I’d rather go for decent odds than cheap and poor odds.
