We had some culture today. Went to see the Canarian Youth Orchestra.
Underground 200' in a volcano lava tube.
They've created a huge auditorium with amazing acoustics.
Rough count was 1,200 folk there, all in comfy leather chairs
Lovely place above ground

FFS, got the ZRX off the stand & out of the Baxley. Liner in the jacket. Put the bicycle rack & bike on the back of the ST. Moved the ZRX by the garage door & my damn hip joints are already giving me grief. A pre-ride tramadol is in order.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I led a ride today. When coming up to a junction I have to slow down and point to a corner so I can't use the clutch - as the bike is a bit "jerky" this is a challenge so I thought I'd try second gear - stalled - like a proTrinity765 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 5:35 pmI don't know what you mean about "getting back on the throttle"? It's ok when I'm more aggressive, dodgy when I'm going downhill slowly or pulling away slowly - I'm using the back break to keep it smooth.wull wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 5:21 pmMore than likely, if you’ve adjusted the throttle cables and tried them at various adjustments and it’s still jerky then check fuelling, see if it can be smoothed out.Trinity765 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 5:16 pm Fitted some throttle spacers to the Speed Twin in an attempt to make it smoother as slow speeds and then went for a test run to Charlie's Farm Shop to buy some raw milk. The spacers have helped but not totally resolved the problem - it's a bit jerky at low revs - fuelling? The milk is lovely
Another thing to consider is how you are whilst getting back on the throttle, that can make a huge difference.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I do sometimes. To be fair, it's a well run group and most members know what to do and don't just ride for themselves. I've lead a couple of rides with Nick Sanders, who has no idea what corner marking is, so I've told the group to mark corners for themselves and they do. Na. I have to point with my left arm so I can't use the clutch. Good challenge though - stopping without using the front brake/right arm free - the back brake on the Speed Twin is surprisingly good, so I'll give the one a go - just for shits n giggles.Horse wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 7:49 pmThis might help. Dunno. Watched it ages ago, thought it relevant. But probably (can't think of any other way)Trinity765 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 8:31 pmI am assuring that he is putting the bike in neutral before coming to a stop?Horse wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 8:20 pmAhemTrinity765 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 7:59 pm Na. Re: What have you done today thread?
NB plod sometimes change their styles/methods
I don't know what's the current preference but a while back it was to stop right foot down to allow gear change as required. Obviously wouldn't work with hand signals!

Point with your leg. Or slip it into neutral while moving.Trinity765 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 7:00 pmI led a ride today.
