Painted a bit more of the workshop ceiling and ratched out some stuff to go.

Na. I have to point with my left arm so I can't use the clutch. Good challenge though - stopping without using the front brake/right arm free - the back brake on the Speed Twin is surprisingly good, so I'll give the one a go - just for shits n giggles.Horse wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 7:49 pmThis might help. Or might not.Trinity765 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 7:00 pm I led a ride today. When coming up to a junction I have to slow down and point to a corner so I can't use the clutch - as the bike is a bit "jerky" this is a challenge so I thought I'd try second gear - stalled - like a pro

Dunno. Watched it ages ago, thought it relevant. But probably (can't think of any other way)Trinity765 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 8:31 pmI am assuring that he is putting the bike in neutral before coming to a stop?Horse wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 8:20 pmAhemTrinity765 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 7:59 pm Na. NB plod sometimes change their styles/methods
I don't know what's the current preference but a while back it was to stop right foot down to allow gear change as required. Obviously wouldn't work with hand signals!

Point with your leg. Or slip it into neutral while moving.Trinity765 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 7:00 pmI led a ride today. It's ok when I'm more aggressive, dodgy when I'm going downhill slowly or pulling away slowly - I'm using the back break to keep it smooth.wull wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 5:21 pm
More than likely, if you’ve adjusted the throttle cables and tried them at various adjustments and it’s still jerky then check fuelling, see if it can be smoothed out.
Another thing to consider is how you are whilst getting back on the throttle, that can make a huge difference.

Spent a frustrating 1/2hr going through an invoice for a punter explaining why I had to use a different primer on the metal to what I used on the timber.

Helped a pal build a staircase up to the loft in his garage. All our pals are builders and they'd have taken the piss if they'd seen us. But we had a giggle and it's certainly sturdy

Went to Herne bay on the CBR 130 miles round trip.
Wanted to stop in Whitstable but the car park had loads of people in it so didn’t wait and continued home.
Good ride.

Finished 6 nights, took the dogs for a sunny walk and then took Finn the Ferret to the vets for the last time. RIP little man.

Accepted the package for a promotion at work, rather pleased so card behind the bar. The hard work since the pandemic has paid off and both my boss and the VP asked me to take on managing the EMEA service desk and operations. 100% increase on what I was on 3 years ago.

Managed to avoid the hip issues while riding yesterday by not coming home until today. We had 12 ZRX's at the RockStore yesterday, not too shabby for a bike that hasn't been available here for 18 years.

More bastard filling, taping and painting. A trip round the airport fire station. And changed my travel plans as they've run out of ferries and have cancelled them from Saturday.
