Sounds like that time Brian Blessed punched a polar bear.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 3:51 pmI hit a badger with my fist last summer.
T'was when we were camping. First night heard a lot of snuffling around the tent, was half asleep at the time so thought I imagined it.
Second night came back. The tent had little zipped mesh windows all around the bottom.....yep there's a badger having a good old nose about
Obviously sniffed itself some food, so it started to have a dig/push around the edge of the tent. Hard enough it's making a proper "dent" in the fabric. I know they've got big ol' teeth* and baby D is here with us, so I just gave it a smack/punch through the tent. Made the weirdest "surprised badger" cough/bark and fucked off never to be heard from again.
Shoulda used a shovel

Re: What have you done today thread?
Yesterday I went down to Topps Tiles and Toolstation to buy my next project, I shall be tiling the kitchen and depending how that goes tiling the bathroom. I was going to get a man in but they said I needed to do all of the prep first, once I'd done that I decided I might as well do the easy bit too.
This might be a mistake but once I saw a wet saw I had to have one.

It was last night, but we went for a meal with my Sister and her other half. Got to the restaurant to be surprised by the rest of my family being there. They had face masks of me on, which was mot disconcerting seeing 12 of my ugly mugs looking at me! Great night though...

I'll await my copy... I'm sure the rammed-ness of the venue was entirely due to the excellence of the posters...Greenman wrote: ↑Sun Mar 05, 2023 3:27 am totally smashed our album release night the place was packed.

It's her ladyship's birthday tmrw so I got her a special prezzy.
She works as a volunteer at an animal sanctuary so I paid for her to sponsor the Vietnamese fat belly pig
She's now it's Godmother. She's over the moon.
Then lunch at our fave beach restaurant

Celebrated Holy Communion at our usual 10.30am service with 104 coming for Communion, blessing a Labrador puppy being trained as a guide dog, lots of children and many happy people. Newcomers have decided they like our church and would like to be put forward for the Confirmation service in June, so much happening in the church. Have a service in an hour, so getting ready to head back to the church to pray and prepare.

Today I have mostly been indoors alone, like Billy No Mates, as I still feel rough with this bloody cough and cold.
It's been a year today that Mrs. Gremlin"s mum died, so she organised a bit of a family get together with her mum's brother and wife, her dad and loads others. Given my state of pox I thought it best to stay at home and rest up, so i did some filling and painting of a wall, hovered the house, dusted, steamed the floors, made some lunch and took the dog for two walks.

I admit I've hammed up an illness once or twice to avoid relly gatherings or stilted neighbour shindigs. To be honest I wish I'd done more.

Oh they soooooo are! I love the Geneva Motor Show - never been, but ever transfer I've done whilst it's on, I've been lucky enough to hear either a Maserati or a slightly lesser sounding awesome car in one of the tunnels!!ZRX61 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 7:19 pmMaserati's were the #1 choice by wimmins for "sexiest sounding car"MyLittleStudPony wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 6:21 pm
Maseratis are the choice of ageing anoraks and nonces.
The cool kids like a Veedub.
I did look at the Maserati but by all accounts it was worse than a Five Series. And Charlie next door has one.

Rigged up a funnel to drain our leaking boiler so at least can have some heat tonight - 13 degrees is a tad chilly!
Hopefully new boiler Monday or Tuesday next week at vast expense.
