Re: Ebay 'WTF' bikes
The really biggest nope was their build quality disappearing down a plughole. They couldn’t coax these junkheaps through their three month warranty.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 8:52 pm The power egg was a 60's thing, but the 70's updates to the bodywork didn't do anything for the A65. The biggest NOPE is that headlamp tho', who the fuck thought that was a good idea.
They couldn’t bore the crankshaft holes parallel to the gearbox mainshaft holes. They couldn’t make the bores perpendicular to the crankshaft.

Just looking at the pictures gave me hepatitis.

Interesting fitment of a CBR600RR fairing, shame it was painted with a sponge.

Re: Ebay 'WTF' bikes
The blurb makes out that the company is Japanese (Mr Yamasaki runs it, allegedly), but like many other manufacturers, outsources production to PRC.
Methinks they are being economical with the truth.
But it is only £2300, ffs...

I didn't even realise they'd been in the UK that long. The Japanese should be getting worried...

I don't think 'brown' was the expected look.

On the closer pics you can see it's kind of an orange weave in the CF, but it still looks brown!

How to instantly devalue a bike. I might just pop down tomorrow to have a look and sneer.

It's in the Cannock branch, not Clay Cross.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 8:49 pm How to instantly devalue a bike. I might just pop down tomorrow to have a look and sneer.

Ah, OK. In that case not.
It will be all the rage in Cannock (or Kenyck as it's known to its denizens).

It's a tough one - hard to represent phonetically. A bit like Doodloy...David wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 8:41 amI always heard it as "Connock"mangocrazy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 8:51 pm Ah, OK. In that case not.

Re: Ebay 'WTF' bikes
I guess it depends a lot on where you're originally from and what accents you're familiar with. I lived the first 10 years of my life in Sarf Lahndan before we moved up to Stafford. Compared to other areas not that far away, Stafford has a fairly neutral non-accent; certainly compared to Wolves or Stoke. So the way I hear Black Country accents are probably different to the way others do.

Re: Ebay 'WTF' bikes
We did a Rolls-Royce bonnet in that stuff once. Ironically a Roller would pull off brown way better than orange carbon fibreKungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 8:32 pm I don't think 'brown' was the expected look.

It's only half carbon by the way. Its 50/50 carbon and glass with a coloured resin. The carbon is black of course, the glass then lets you see the resin colour.
