Only reason i could afford my 550 was someone died and left my mum a few quid. She gave my brother, sister and my £1k so i just passed my test and started to bike hunt. This thing had a crap Canary yellow paint job and sat in Ernie Pages bike shop for long enough. It got reduced by about £50 every month. Anyway im sure i handed over £700 for it. Loved the overweight pig.westers151 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 12:34 amI lusted after anything that said 500, or above, or anything bigger than a 125 that said RD, RG, or KR.
However, in 1988 I was a poor, poor 17 year old student (play that small violin for me, orchestra), the shelf stacking job only paid so much, and the parents wouldn't fund it. So, GPz 305 it was - we all have our cross to bare.

CB400F... on the newly opened stretch of the M20 that bypassed Brands Hatch... used to be dead quiet.
