I'm peeved because I used to use the podcast player on my phone to listen to the friday night comedy from BBC and now it seems I have to use the Sounds app - but I've only been able to play 2 of 3 News Quiz shows that are available FFS

People might vote for that sort of change, it probably has some merits (and would at least focus the minds of governments like the current one, who seem to be totally unphased by revolving-door prime minsters), and changes like proportional representation. However you'd immediately have different problems taking up column inches and generating humbling TV interviews with MPs - because the general public haven't really thought through any of these changes either, we all just like a good whinge.
That TV show on at the moment 'Make Me Prime Minister' I imagine isn't totally different from what goes on behind closed doors - bumbling fools like on The Apprentice, bickering and coming up with thoughtless policy that get's destroyed under the most rudimentary scrutiny.

Not sure I agree. That party will still have the majority in the commons, probably. We don't vote for an PM, we vote for MPs, so in theory, whoever is 'leading' (I use inverted commas for a number of reasons) the party with the majority is fairly irrelevant.

I think so. I've not listened to BBC radio for ages, just teh podcasts. But, in trying to find the news quiz, I found 'BBC Sounds' app, so I reckon that's what they are trying to say!

There would be a change, naturally. Let's go a bit surreal: if the incumbent leader of Party A suddenly lost the plot, said they would scrap the NHS in favour of cosmic rays and scrap the police in favour of remote-controlled armed mice, the other members of Party A would quickly have another leadership challenge and said fruitcake leader would be out. Sensibility would remain. No election need, though there would be a fire sale of remote controlled mice.
If there was a challenge but the majority of MPs thought those policies quite sound and kept fruitcake as PM, then carry on with the cosmic rays as that's the direction the party wants to go. The electorate will get their say the next time around. If there's any left in the country to vote.
