I think I'd have insured it after it was stolen and reported it as stolen a week after that.

It'd have to be something that is pretty crap to ride or was way too expensive or rare to ride properly, so for me it'd be my old man's Brough or some guzzi exotica (MGS-01 or Magni Australia). That MV would do it for sure.

I would have no connection to anything I didn't ride so why would I take it to shows... what would be the point?

Do any of you own anything that you just own to look at and to show to other people and not use?

Doesn't count unless you've simply displayed the unhung roll somewhere... which would be about as weird as buying a bike, not riding it and taking it to shows

I can't think of anything I'd want to show that I wouldn't want to ride!!!!

Their primary use it to be looked at though, right?

Anyway, buy bikes just to show if you like but you're a few years from covering the walls in commemorative plate and horse brasses. Don't say I didn't warn you ;)

Something unique and groovy. Enough to remove the pants of the groovy chicks and rile up the bearded giffers.
Mine’s leaking enough oil to make their pants slide off.

I already have a potential show pony, not that I have ever taken it to a show, nor had/have the intention to.

Indeed, I have taken the decision to move the old girl on - one I have agonised over long and hard but I have had my fun and have some fond memories. It's time for someone else to take guardianship, maybe even take it to a show...

Still one of the prettiest bikes Honda ever made, imho. A few pictures for your consideration.....
