Ubsuprisingly there are some absurdly good deals at the moment if you're in the market for a new car. 0% finance is pretty decent.

Re: Show us your cars ?
Got a good £2k off the list price, only put down a grand deposit the dealer added £500. They chucked in some gap insurance and all the other paint protection crap, the repayments are £196 a month for 8,000 miles a year (she's probably going to do nearer 6k).Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 4:43 pm Ubsuprisingly there are some absurdly good deals at the moment if you're in the market for a new car. 0% finance is pretty decent.
I even got them to agree to do the first service for free.
After four years I'll need just over £4k to buy it.... or they reckon about the 3.5 year mark they'll offer to take it back and give me a new one if I keep paying.

I'm in the market for a new van and there doesn't seem to be any deals at all. I don't need it until next May but I'm planning for a 20% price increase on January the first so need to get it bought, I've got storage arranged. 20% on the price of new Crafter is a lot of money.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 4:43 pm Ubsuprisingly there are some absurdly good deals at the moment if you're in the market for a new car. 0% finance is pretty decent.

Re: Show us your cars ?
I think I've been away too long, anything that isn't a big 4x4 looks like a Lego toy to me
Bloke directly across from me got a new Lambo a couple of weeks ago and I never really paid it much attention (there is a Ferrari, Lambo or McClaren on pretty much every driveway) but we went for a walk the other day and I stopped by it to look (all jet black with blacked out windows, the only colour on it is yellow brake calipers)- it's tiny, the roof is waist high and the wheelbase is like a skateboard. I didn't realise they were so small. Next door has got a 458 and it's low but it's not that small.
Small cars are obviously the thing now.

Might I just add that it's an excellent colour too?

Re: Show us your cars ?
Bit of a dull car compared to most on here but I like it and it drives nicely. Was good on the recent holiday and I think being an old(ish) school 2 litre meant performance wasn't dulled 4 up with luggage. And it managed 54 odd mpg on the computer down to Minehead.
Just wish the paint didn't stone chip so easily. Anyway I washed it so have a picture.

Re: Show us your cars ?
We've taken out some chip protection insurance (or whatever it's called) on the wifes new car (it was kind of thrown in to sweeten the deal), apparently she can call them out to fix up to 20 chips a year!

Re: Show us your cars ?
I added to my car a similar thing where damage up to something like 12 inches will be repaired by a 3rd party place with no insurance. I can have I think 18 call outs in 3 years. It's mainly for car park scrapes but includes chips but they have to be within 12 inches of each other to be 1 call out But I reckon I've touched in well over 30 odd stone chips already since I got it To be fair the majority were pre me, but I did about about 12 small ones on Fri. I think it's a combination of very thin paint and black primer under white paint so they are really noticeable. But some of the chips have gone to bare metal My old car had wayyyy less chips and was 9 years old and never washed.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Sep 07, 2020 10:00 am We've taken out some chip protection insurance (or whatever it's called) on the wifes new car (it was kind of thrown in to sweeten the deal), apparently she can call them out to fix up to 20 chips a year!
It's a shame as other than the paint I really like the car. It's not quick, but it's nice to drive.

Is the centre console just a box?? If so I’ve got a coin tray type thing that sits in the top, I bought it when I had my 3 sport.Supermofo wrote: ↑Mon Sep 07, 2020 9:52 am Bit of a dull car compared to most on here but I like it and it drives nicely.
