Re: Been here before 😁
But more working from home today….first issue. Forks out and the bolts in the bottom corroded and chewed. Not an issue as I’ll run them into workshop tomorrow and then send fork bottoms to be painted. Front wheel not perfect but prob 8/10 and the bits that are faded will be behind the new discs and shiny new bolts

Re: Been here before 😁
Fork stripping today, both bolts in the bottom chewed and needed drilling out and surprisingly no clips holding fork seals in
But fork bottoms now at blasters and parts ordered

Waiting on parts to be painted now, subframes and fork bottoms, the nice Chinese people confirmed the paintwork today so that’ll be interesting and front wheel done too

Really liking this thread, it's a bike that's always appealed but never owned, maybe one day though eh

Re: Been here before 😁
I’ve wanted to build a nice NC30 for ages, not an immaculate bike just a good very clean good spec one. This is definitely going that way. I’ll only use it for a few classic days and despite my reputation I’m keeping it as NC30’s and me have a lot of historyTricky wrote: Tue Aug 09, 2022 8:32 pm Really liking this thread, it's a bike that's always appealed but never owned, maybe one day though eh- I know this will be a nice one

I think my CB-1 was an NC-27.
I'm gonna look it up now!
EDIT: Yep, that's the badger.

The 23 was the Tri-arm CBR and the 26 was the Gull-arm.
It's the MC's that get me confused.

Mrs Ds Dad had an NC21 in the garage with the Boneville. Well he had an NC21 spread around the garage.
We gave it to her uncle, luckily he's got a van
