IRC 35's are heavier and slower, with lower compression engines and smaller carbs than the 30.

Re: Been here before 😁
Yup they were never cheap, cheapest would have been my mates shop one but that was an ex hire bike so not the best of histories and I bought a brand new Fazer 600 instead. Still kick myself for being sensible.
I put them in the same boat as SP1s a bike I should of bought at 3.5k for a minter. I could of put 35k miles on it and still doubled my money. I loved my rides on an SP1, sure there are objectively better bikes but none float my boat the same way.

Re: Been here before 😁
I had a 30 for a while many years ago.
From what I remember it was a nice little bike. Unfortunately I’m not the ‘take it to the redline on every gear’ kind of rider so it was a bit wasted on me. So I traded it in for a 750 SRAD

That looks to be in amazing condition - is the bodywork original? All the ones I've seen in the past year or so are in horrible condition or with replica plastics.

Re: Been here before 😁
My SRAD 750 was a lovey bike, I even know where it is now, I've got first dibs on it if the bloke who owns it decides to sell it, not sure if I want it or not though, I'm a bit old and unfit for that riding position now, it's also still in very good condition so there are cheaper SRADs out there if I want one for the track.

It’s original bodywork yeah, not perfect but prob 6 or 7/10. Good enough for using though as I’ll do a couple classic bike Trackdays on it. I’ve got all the bits here now to fit just need some time but there’s no rush as I want to keep this one.

We’ll that was a busy hour was only gonna have a tinker….
Subframe off to powder coaters
Shock linkage to machine shop
Exhaust to shot blasters
Bolts off to platers
Carbs off to be stripped and jetted
And loads of cleaning to do before I fit shock and strip forks.

Having different linkages made, or just replacing bearings?
There is no cloud, just somebody else's computer.

Existing one modified to raise rear. Bearings seem ok tbh.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 4:07 pmHaving different linkages made, or just replacing bearings?
I think now I’m this far in I may as well continue stripping down and see where I get too as I won’t be riding it this year. Tempted by the full tyga system and a new set of Chinese bodywork so it really is immaculate when done

Plenty of time while waiting for parts but lots of deep cleaning to do. Got some new degreaser and small brushes so had 2 mins to try it out on swingarm. It’s gonna make this job real easy and satisfying

Re: Been here before 😁
Had half an hour this morning so dropped the forks out ready to be stripped and powder coated. Fitted the shock and modified linkage to make sure it goes together ok. Left loose fitted as exhaust man thinks shock has to come out for full system
