Lovely muddy bit of lawn thanks to the pidgeons trashing it and over it went this morning. By fook is it a heavy beast to get upright, I was seeing stars and my back was none to happy.

Bike is fine, mud, bungs and slo mo drop saved it.

I looked at the pic and first thought was 60 degrees at 3c temperature bloody hell! Then the penny dropped.

Glad the bikes ok. That's the reason bungs were first on my list it weighs a ton more than the Duke

Have you been having any bother with oil gathering in the airbox,or being fired out a breather? Seems fairly common,with various suggestions for a cure from owners,but not Kawasaki.

The oil bottle at the bottom of the engine breather drain does fill up, its just a matter of keeping an eye on it and emptying it when it's full. I wonder if that's neglected then the oil can back up.

I've had to empty it three times in the last two years. From what I've read most of the problems come from too much oil in the engine, I think there is a technical directive from Kawasaki saying not to fill the oil up to the top of the sight glass level after an oil change.

What all do they do?

The supercharger impeller is likely checked for endplay,which is labour intensive. I don't know what else,but you will probably pay for around 4 hours labour plus parts.

Another "exciting"commute home today. Car decided at the last minute to turn right around a roundabout from the "slow lane" of a dual carriage way roundabout as he was on the point of carry straight on, no indications, just a last minute swerve. I was coming up on the outside, large handful of brakes (could've been more in hindsight as I didn't trigger the ABS). Smacked his rear drivers side bumper but managed to stay upright. No damage to the bike but his plastic Ago bumper was looking a bit sorry for itself. Stern words of advice offered to driver who revealed they were 6 hrs into a return journey from Cornwall and he was tired!! FFS!

The bit in bold is a big reason that most locals avoided the M5 Weston/B'water area on bank holiday weekends with everyone from oop north heading to the south west! Guess it's similar but further north on the return? WTF don't people just stop for sensible breaks ??
