In terms of a well working shift light it does the trick, this is up there with the 1299 with being able to see it easily whilst looking well ahead.

A mate was pulled in one day on the way to work as locals had complained to the police, so they just parked up and waited.

This happened to me years ago when I was a bit mental, it’s now tame so nothing to worry about plus I vary where I go etc. when I’m commuting it’s so quiet there’s nobody about and the ride home the roads are too busy to do anything.

I had something similar and it was always in the peripheral vision. Different riding position though. I swapped it for a little key pouch that sat a lot snugger. (+ it kept a little special security doodah in for removing the GPS). I let it go with one of the bikes. Bought another - supposedly the same - which was rubbish.

I've seen bikes where they must have had a bunch of keys and they'd made a right mess of the steering head.

Hadn't thought about this before but what happens to the steering lock with keyless?

(TBH it's pretty convenient when the ignition key fits the luggage, fairing cubby, seat lock etc. No chance of leaving home and finding the luggage is locked and you don't have the key, or can't get at the 'tool kit'. )

More unlikely with bikes, but I know someone who - twice! - has had about 50 miles between his car and the key Once it's started, 'removing' the keyfob doesn't stop the engine.

There's a big button where the key would normally go.

You press it to turn the ignition on/off and hold it down to fire the steering lock.

The fob you keep in your pocket does have a flip out key (like a car fob) for the seat and luggage. The fuel cap it keyless too.
