Foal probably learned lots of interesting words from Filly as she responded to others' driving.
I was never allowed to swear in front of my parents (which, I guess is pretty normal) and I still don't. They called them "playground words". I brought my boys up the same and now, as adults, one of them swears in front of me but the other one doesn't. I don't know why that is. Being brought up like that gives you the on/off switch so for example, in an interview, I don't have to think about not swearing. However, I have friends who were allowed to swear at home from children, usually because they had foreign parents who didn't understand the swearing culture in the UK. Those friends don't seem to have that on/off switch and have trouble refraining, even when they try.

On the phone to my 94 yr old mother yesterday, quite surprised to hear her call someone a 'silly bitch'.

Never heard either of my parents swear and I rarely do. If you use up all the words in normal circumstances you have nothing left for when you're really :angry-cussingblack: angry.
