The place I'm staying has bought the minor hits of the '80s collection CD.
Footloose was the last track.

Made the KTM less dirty. I hate cleaning the bloody thing.

Out of the blue stumbled on a pic of my old KTM 950SM! At that stage I loved it and had just fitted those cans on it. Checked out its details on the dvla site and MOT etc and it doesn't look like it's on the road anymore though.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Out on the xsr to meet GP for a lunch beer, then drove to Aldershot to collect the Held 1 piece suit that's now been altered for Mrs Weeksy.
Then cleaned xsr. The pizza and beer.
Now chilling in the pool while wife and boy play cards

Pedalled from Prestatyn to Rhos on sea, north Wales coast, with the lady. Fish n chips in Rhos. 16 miles each way. Very pleasant indeed.

Re: What have you done today thread?
36C. Escaped from London, drove to Lydney in Gloucestershire. Beautiful location, quiet place with loads of places to walk. Booked a couple of nice things to do and will now just take it a day at a time. Spent the evening playing word games and the winner was the "arsehole spider" because any spider is an arsehole etc.... No alcohol, just the wife and our teenage daughter and son and lots of laughter and fun. Tomorrow evening will be the Vouvray with whatever we chose to eat night.

One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Sorry, missed this.636mick wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 10:52 amHow come you neeed a test mate? Just wondering.Horse wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 6:24 pm Had a Covid test.
Appointment booked for a set time, but arrived really early, wondering whether I could get in early?
2 cars ahead of me with occupants being tested, two more waiting. I was home (40 miles away) about appt time.
Things to know:
1. Swab to back of throat, "say ahhhh". You run out of breath before they finish
2. Swab up nose tickles. I didn't know that sinuses could be ticklish:)
Heard the nose thing is unpleasant too, one of my staff who lives in Leicester lockdown had one, he didn’t enjoy it either!!!
Mick.
It was part of the self-isolation and pre-surgery preparation (and, perhaps, ironic that I had to break isolation and do an 80 mile round trip to be tested!).
Surgery (Monday 3rd) was:
- decompression of Chiari Type 1. ie Removal of a 2.5 x 2.5cm section from the back of my skull and removal of the back of the C1 vertebra
- fusion of the craniolvertebral joint; bolting skull to C1 and C2
There was some info on this on the other 'today?' thread on TRC, so I'll do a longer explanation here later.

Re: What have you done today thread?
35C here on the Sarf Coast yesterday, which was a record for my little weather station. So this morning Mrs M got up at 6 to go for a bike ride (this early on the weekend is an end of days portent, it NEVER happens). I got up a bit later and have washed the car and will be doing an interview prep course for some of my work colleagues. Currently 29C and rising.
Could well be cider o clock later.

Hope everything went well, I recall the thread on TRC, didn’t realise it was happening now though.
Keep us updated, and the trousers you mentioned are coming 1st October, not been well received!! I will update you when you’re better,
Cheers
