It's one of these and has about 15 miles use on it.
INCOMING, Happy 50th to me.... Yeah, it's a Yamaha... it's the easy option.

Sitting at Mott motorcycles while the bike gets its 1st service. Technically I think it's all done but just putting ecu updates and software stuff on it seems. It got a bit grubby on trailer, bit not as bad as it would have on the road

i had 3 quotes when booking it in and all were £175, so i'd guess yes.Taipan wrote: Fri Jan 28, 2022 10:26 amAre Yamaha servicing prices fixed?weeksy wrote: Fri Jan 28, 2022 10:00 am Sitting at Mott motorcycles while the bike gets its 1st service. The big boys version of mine... If this had been available when I got the MT07, i'd have been VERY tempted....

????
Got home and ripped the tail tidy off.... well, i say the tail tidy, you rip the whole sodding back end of the bike apart. But that's only when it starts getting interesting. I'm sure they employ a family of squid or octopus to put the back end together. 2 arms, 2 brackets, 3 wires and 4 bolts with spacers.. Errrrrm really ? How many arms do i want !!!! Once you've got that you've then got about a dozen pieces of plastic to sort too...
It took about half a lifetime and all of my patience... but it's back to standard. It's not coming apart EVER again that's for sure lol.
Last job was a decent clean of all the muck from the road, but again, not a massive deal/issue.

Nah, not for a fair while. It's more power than I want or need. But will admit it looks great.MrLongbeard wrote: Sat Jan 29, 2022 12:27 amI'm sure you'll get a favourable trade in offer.....weeksy wrote: Fri Jan 28, 2022 1:55 pm If this had been available when I got the MT07, i'd have been VERY tempted....

As I've said in 660 threads, 690 threads etc, I don't want or need big bhp, all that brings is more speed and less fun. For me, road selection plays a factor too, I don't pick 120+ roads, I pick 40-50-70-80 roads and that's where my fun and play is. Plus I just don't enjoy the big speeds.
The mt09 just encourages more insanity vthan I want.

I'm with the PB lads, but it's your bike so it don't not count for much of a hill of beans what I reckon I reckon.

The most comfy was the Panigale V2, which was a bit of a shock. It was only £26k, I think it was an special one, it had wings.Skub wrote: Sun Jan 30, 2022 2:22 pmI bet you looked even bigger sitting on the Z900RS,it's a tiny thing.

Popped up to four way's cafe today, 45 mins. Those z900rs don't seem to look as bad as they used to
. Still wouldn't buy one but not bad. Spoke to owner and he was unsure himself and will be moving it on for a multi probably. I prefer the angry looking one.
Saw a nice mt10 and they look better aswel, think I'm suffering from mudflap syndrome.
Cb650 4 cylinder looked very nice and owner loved it. He had his lad on the back and the lack of engine braking was perfect for him. Gsxf looked pretty decent, few SXs, lots of BMW.
The bike shop has closed now so just JandS shop and cafe. All in all, i saw nowt that would tempt me away from the mt09, just yet.
