Hit one of these with an 'ammer after discovering the air pistol didn't have enough oomph to set them off

Woken by a call from hospital at 4.40am telling me I'd best make my way up,as my Da looked like he was not going to last much longer. Spent the day with him and he rallied round a bit. ICU staff eventually chased me out and said they'd ring if anything changes.

Same as I have done every day this week: trying to get my Tuono back running and shipshape, after I stuffed it into a dyke 5 years ago.
Today I deburred the back head. Was furry and shitty. It gleams now.

Tonight I've watched a documentary on BBC2 called American History's Biggest Fibs with Lucy Worsley.
Points of note.
1. I have the same name as one of the nine slaves George Washington kept at his president's house in Philadelphia.
2. I wouldn't kick Lucy Worsley out of bed for eating crisps.

I'm with you on that. I love watching Masterchef etc, but as soon as they go somewhere and the chef gets the tweezers out, i'm done, i've peakedHarry wrote: Tue Jul 28, 2020 7:41 am The food looks amazing, you're clearly very talented, but I couldn't sit through it, I'd have the raging hump at little tit-bits and teasers when I just want to get stuck into my grub.
Stick a couple of rounds of bread and butter on the side for me.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Part of me would LOVE to go somewhere exceptional, with amazing food etc, just to see if i can actually appreciate it for what it is, if the food can really make me go "WOW"... But i can't stand the pomp and faff that comes with it, the white gloved waiters etc... It would just irritate the heck out of me.Harry wrote: Tue Jul 28, 2020 7:56 amIt's a talent for sure, but I think it appeals to people that go for the occasion, rather than because they're hungry.weeksy wrote: Tue Jul 28, 2020 7:47 amI'm with you on that. Re: What have you done today thread?
Well not today because I've been a bit tardy of late in posting but Sunday I had the first pick of this years runner beans.
A good 600 grams that only lasted as far as dinner time and then got scoffed with gravy dinner. Mmmmmm...
Got a good crop growing this year, so we'll be well fed over Summer. That's the benefit of not being able to take a motorcycle holiday in June when your veg needs proper looking after to get going!!
