Re: Black Garlic
Is it quite soft? Usually puréed with oil and used as a spread or on roast chicken etc. Haven't seen it for ages...probably not since the IoW garlic people had a stand at, iirc, a Chili Festival at West Dean.
S'nice, quite mild in the garlicky sense but has other flavour.

Re: Black Garlic
Home now and I have taken my contacts out so I can read the label. Yes, it's IOW black garlic and yes it's squidgy. I've just eaten a clove and it's amazing. I'll be trying it different ways so all ideas are welcome.

Re: Black Garlic
As purée, crostini, stir into soups, dips, a few dabs on bought pizza before heating, slather on stuff like chicken pre-roasting.
Otherwise as per ordinary garlic unless it's really squidgy.
Hmmmm....Middle Farm you say? Did they have pink garlic too? I sense a road trip.

There's a raw dairy vending machine just outside MK off the A421 if you're struggling to find it. If anyone is THAT desperate for raw milk of course

Re: Black Garlic
I loved that black garlic and will have a go at making some as now I'm at my Mum's I can do it in her garage - it pongs a bit for the first couple of weeks apparently so not something you want to start indoors. It goes with everything - I had it with fish which worked well as it's a nice delicate flavour, squished on toast, mixed with mayonnaise or butter, added to stir fries and even with a cheese board.
