Ordered a new 1 series in September after being invited to the dealership as they had “high demand for quality used cars”. Deal struck, car specced and ordered, delivery expected December / January.
Not heard anything other than the marketing team calling to invite us to an EV test drive sales pitch session, when relaying the lack of new car, they said the sales team would call back…
That call happened today… “we sent a generic email out to all customers last month to let people know”
“Fucking generic email!!” She replied
“Might be available in February or March…”
“It won’t be Feb and it will be March and had better come with all and any model changes, a full tank of fuel and free servicing for the first year”.
We aren’t that invested in getting a newer car, it was just an option to capitalise on the equity in the PCP to get the next model up. I suspect the next call to BMW may include words along the lines of “I’m sure Audi / Jaguar / etc would like our business…”
