Spent the day wondering which way the cyclone will go.
My yacht is all tied up well, the cars are put away and the bikes are in a position where they shouldn't fall over.

I hope you don't end up without half a roof too.

It's fine, I'm sitting here in my sparkly red high heels and if it gets too bad I'll start clicking them together and saying "There's no place like the North West..."

More shed tidying and rearranging. Much more usable space now, and even more later.

Last Saturday went out with Friends, on the Sunday one of them tested positive.
Had a PCR done on Sunday evening, negative result on Monday.
Thursday felt a tiny bit crappy, so did a lateral flow, negative.
Friday and Saturday, felt like I had a bad head cold.
Sunday, test positive on the lateral flow.
Guess that's me not going to work on Monday. I wonder how many others I've given it to?
Luckily i was already double jabbed when i copped it. Had third vacc jab + flu jab now
Ignorance is bliss

Been riding a motorbike! The weather hasn't been great today, but it didn't rain. It was a bit more windy than I would notice in a car/minibus but I survived

Re: What have you done today thread?
At long last I have successfully got accounts on the e-devlet (e-government) and e-nabiz (e-pulse, health stuff) sites. I thought I had an e-devlet account but my password wasn't recognised and the 'forgotten password' link didn't like my details for some reason.
But who would have thought you can get direct access to the e-devlet site by going through your banking app? Not me but that's how I got there.
Having got there, passwords were sorted, e-nabiz sorted and my 4th covid jab booked for tomorrow. I can then get my EU covid passport thingy which means I can fly to Istanbul on Friday for the F1 Turkish Grand Prix.
The world is a happy place!

Re: What have you done today thread?
On a Teams call with my line manager. He's telling me how shit his life is at the moment.. . when a notification pops up that the MD is calling.
Drop the line manager and take the MD call.... he's got HR with him. "We're going to sack your line manager because of his negativity".
I don't think I told them what they wanted to hear, so hopefully he's got a stay of execution.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today I have had a walk along Felixstowe prom with my beautiful wife, had a minor altercation in a petrol station with a young lady who thought she could jump the minor queue (I may have over reacted and been overly sweary) had a ride to Orford and fiddled with my YPVS.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Received a text from an unknown to me number, not unusual but I thought it amusing.
It read: Can you come to <island> for the day on the 28th, <female name> will collect you and drop you back at the ferry. xx
I've accepted the offer.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went out for a meal with the Mrs at lunch time.
We like to eat out regularly, sometimes somewhere decent but quite happy going for breakfast in a cafe.
But aren’t prices creeping up? At least I think they are.
A 2 course meal in an Italian in Edinburgh (nice enough meal I’ll give it to them but just pasta, nothing exotic) plus soft drinks ..£52.

Yes, we’re the same and have noticed a distinct increase in prices. Especially when you take into account the reduction in the vat rate for hospitality.Scotsrich wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 8:17 pm Went out for a meal with the Mrs at lunch time.
