Re: Would you have an electric car if you had the money for a new car and were in the market for one?

Current electric cars just don't fit the bill for me either. Style matters, and range anxiety is a real concern.

Re: What the longest you've ever worked for someone?

I've been with my current employer for about 12 years now. Like you, I used to jump around a lot, but I stumbled upon a company with a great atmosphere and opportunities for growth, so I decided to stick around.

Re: Ideas for a small business?

I actually started an eBay business a while back, selling vintage collectibles and handmade crafts. It's been a blast, honestly. Way less overhead than running a brick-and-mortar place, and I can do it in my PJs from home. It's pretty cool to see something that started as a hobby actually bringing i...

Re: What’s say the masses? I need a new car.

If you're looking for something that can double as a chill van but still feels good to drive, maybe check out the Subaru Outback or the Volvo XC70. They're both solid choices for hitting the trails, camping, and hauling bikes, plus they've got those cozy heated seats for the colder days. Not to ment...

You can use Google's Find My Device feature. Just make sure it's set up beforehand.

Freeman and Winstone just nail those parts every time. When it comes to intense, brainy characters, Hopkins is your guy. And Streep? She brings the feels like nobody else.

Re: Anyone still using tungsten light bulbs?

I've phased out tungsten bulbs over time; the energy savings with LEDs just make more sense. Initially, I was attached to the old versions, but LEDs proved to be a better choice with their flexibility and cost-effectiveness. Plus, I've found useful articles on leds.to that reinforced my decision. Th...

Re: Possible Touring Trip Next Week

When you're looking for places to stay, especially if you want something last minute, Booking.com and Airbnb are great. They have loads of options, from cute little pubs to cool places, and you can book them right before you need to check-in. It's handy for trips where you want to play it by ear. I ...

I'd say definitely look into those ferry alternatives and maybe give the event organizers a shout for the Classic TT dates.

In my own experience with a small online retail venture, I faced hurdles that made me reconsider my timing. Re: Best cheap thing you ever bought.

That's a great story! My best cheap buy has to be a $5 pocket knife I got at a flea market. It's been with me on countless camping trips, hikes, and has saved the day more times than I can count. It just proves that you don't always need to spend a lot for something reliable.

Re: Socks.... What an exciting one :D

I feel your sock struggle! It's surprising how tricky it can be to find the perfect pair. I've had good luck with some hiking and outdoor brands for calf-length socks. They tend to be warm, durable, and usually not too tight.
