Re: My Jerez Adventure.

I'm a bit late to check in. Was a great trip. We fly abroad for the tracks but also for the weather and it couldn't have been better : right in the Goldilocks zone. Great to meet Yorick and share a beer or three. I got roasted on track on the straights but I'm not racing and it's all about the smile...

Re: Trackdays 24...

I love Portimao. It's great plus it was my first ever track day so sticks in my heart  I've got Mugello booked for August but I might cancel and switch to Jerez in May. I did Mugello in '22 and have never done Jerez. I think it makes sense to swap as I can't fit in both. I fancy Jerez in M...

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?

I sat behind a mate watching the canvas slowly appear up the middle of his rear tyre, right until it burst. He rode the last 10 miles home on the remnants. I have the video of him squirming to a halt on the motorway. Very lucky that's all that happened as previously we'd been through the twist...

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?

A recent little bimble over to Germany for a long weekend. Was hot and sunny all the time. The rideout had us cross the Mosel and Rhine over a dozen times including two ferry crossings. All was good until 30mins from Calais on the way back. One member of the group set off from home expecting their t...

Re: Dash cams on bikes

I have one fitted (Innovv front and rear). I only have it as I commute into London which I considered higher risk than normal out of town riding.

It's reasonably stealthy but would be found by anyone looking for it. On balance I think it's worth having for my personal circumstance.

Re: Trackdays 2023

I've only got one track day booked so far and that's Aragon at the end of the year. Will do a couple of days at Cadwell and then a mix of Donny, Snet and maybe Silverstone. It might be a year I do Brands which is my closest track LOL

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?

Last day before resuming work and the sun was shining so had to go out for a few hours. Loads of crud on the roads and lots of flooding. 20230102_144753_F (Medium).JPG I decided to turn back at the ford (1ft deep and quite fast moving). I had a swim in the summer  :silent: and didn't fancy a r...

Re: thermal top/fleece/layer

I have an EDZ Yeti fleece and it's warm as anything but bulky. I prefer their microfibre fleece. Probably 80% as warn but thin. I swear by my long sleeved Outlast base layer in combination with the above

Re: What bike was your first indicated 180mph on?

My Blackbird. Def not a real 180 as I was at the top end of 5th. On the 'bird, speeds don't feel fast until you get over about 140. 180 did although I suspect it was most likely 160-165.
