Re: CRF250 Rally
Bought a crappy full exhaust off eBay a few weeks go, mainly because it was local and cheap…
Got around to sticking it on today as my arm and ribs felt a bit closer to normal.
Welds look good, fit isn’t great but I’ve made it work. Revs out a bit more freely - but most importantly it’s a whopping ...

Re: CRF250 Rally
Ouch!
Did you swap bikes at all, I'd be interested to hear how they both compare?
Not on this ride, no. But as trail/soft road bikes they're practically the same, I'd say. The enfield has a bit more poke but a bit more weight.
Enfield has a lower seat, mind, which I envy.
Also - obligatory ...

Re: CRF250 Rally
Had a decent first trail day of the year on Monday - the forecast had looked half decent so we'd agreed to meet near Leek to do a 50 mile loop in the Peaks.
Forecast was almost right - not cold and no rain but it was misty/low-cloudy enough to make everything proper slimey.

Re: CRF250 Rally
Decided to try the Oxford Nomad rear luggage base/bags, partly because the base is thirty quid versus Kriega’s and Givi’s hundred and also because I thought I might be able to wangle my existing Oxford tail pack onto it.
Very happy with it - plus I had a decent ride in the sunshine over to J&S to ...

Re: CRF250 Rally
Sorted a USB outlet for phone etc. The factory switched acc socket was still un-used and available - yay! Not used by heated grips, seems they were properly wired in.

Re: CRF250 Rally
Actually - one complaint!
The rear end / side panel area is wide - you can see it in the photo above, because of the silencer. The other side's the same due to a really handy tool-box compartment.
It just makes luggage a bit of a think. I reckon rearwards panniers/frames will make it a bit unwieldy.

Re: CRF250 Rally
Cool.
I looked at them a while ago in a passing moment of madness.
Health to enjoy.
Thanks. Recommended so far, plus it's a Honda so can't imagine there'll be any nasty surprises. Right?
Nice
Cheers.
Nice one, great for a bit of green laning, what's the plan.

CRF250 Rally
Bought this last week.
IMG_2630 2 Large.jpeg
It was cheap, low-miles & local enough for me to not be bothered that it wasn’t a 300. The bloke selling it said it was bone-stock and always garaged.
Not very true on either point & whilst that does mean there’s a bit of surface rust here and there ...

Not everyone's cup of teas, me included. But the first production bike that sort of looks like a MotoGP bike?
If a bit lardy.
