KTM finally launches a(nother) sportbike!
Looks interesting.
Don't fancy going on the back though! :0

Parallel twins are for nipping to the shops on, they've even left a space for mounting a top box.

Looking at the rider's seat you'd be nipping to the shops to buy a cushion.
It's a rather ugly thing all-round.

Have all KTM's well publicised financial woes gone away then? Has customer confidence in their product and back up been restored?
As for the bike itself I expected something lighter than 195kgs for a sport middleweight.

0-60 in a set of cams and a disastrous warranty claim?
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Not everyone's cup of teas, me included. But the first production bike that sort of looks like a MotoGP bike?
If a bit lardy.

Nah, the first CBR600RR (2003ish) where Honda used the mass centralisation ethos was the first MotoGP like bike, imho.
EDIT:

Fair point - but I was thinking about the current, last few years, era.

Back when MotoGP bikes looked good!
I've got Rossi's RCV Test bike in those colours on my mantle piece (I'm looking right at it).
Minichamp, obviously.

Well that rules out the RCV213V-S then.

My GSXR1000 was true copy of the MotoGP bike. Exact same paint

KTM announced new bikes last year, 990 Duke R and 1390 Super Duke GT. The press packs, KTM videos etc, they're all still there, no bikes though. This could be more of the same.

Looks tidy enough, not unlike many others. Pillion seat reminds me of some old of Russian thing.

There appear to be some actual bikes, at least test ones anyway
There were last year, they just never made it to production.
