Re: Which One?
Ktm gets my vote but I'd be very happy with the GasGas also... GG just needs spoked wheels. There have been some amazing deals on the GasGas in the UK... Even thought about upgrading my 2011 690 to the 700SM. Of all the bikes I own the 690 would be the last one to be sold. Yes it's a little vibey an...

No, no and yes I think I would.
Fancied owning a Roadking a few times .. A two up cruiser with my better half on a summers evening makes it feel appealing. Reality is, she works evenings so that's as far as I've got to owning one.

Re: thermal top/fleece/layer
Used one of these for the last 3 winters and found it very effective at keeping my core warm. Fits nicely under a jacket and the sleeves are a good length so they don't ride up above my gloves. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133964834366?hash=item1f30ed263e:g:YRgAAOSwbu9huac8&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoJ...

I'm hoping I can do the sameKungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 5:51 pm I've adapted my riding accordingly, it was the cheapest option.
After a few rides of consciously remembering to keep my shins out of the way it's become almost natural.

Re: The Big Black Bus
Almost every time I stop at lights or a junction and put my foot down, I bang my shins on the head guards, you can't really tell from the pic above, but they stick out quite far back from the heads. I think I'll take them off and put some nice carbon covers on the rocker covers. Have you adapted to...

Re: What's the differences then? (various MT's)
I own an MT09 and 10 .. One is very exciting to ride the other is very fun 😀 It's a tough call as to which is the best and I think alot depends on the roads its being used on or even the mood you're in. Ideally you need to get a long test ride on both on the roads you use often. Which is which?!! L...

Everything was going fine , out most Saturdays either on my own or with a few mates but a heart attack in mid August has stopped any of the plans for longer rides. Still plan to get out if there's a dry day but the warmer weather of 23 can't come soon enough. Bugger. GWS pal Cheers Yorick ...

I sold an ktm exc in supermoto trim and the fella collected it with an Astra combo van. Stood at the side of the van it looked an impossible fit but a couple of ratchet straps to compress the forks and it went in and the rear doors of the van closed.
Enjoy the GasGas.

Re: New bike day. 690SMC-R.
I was worried for a while about the death weave you get sometimes, sometimes it's 80mph, sometimes it's 90mph, sometimes you don't get it.... but again, it keeps you thinking, keeps you alert. A bit of a more sensible setup to the suspension than standard helps eradicate any death weave. Try runnin...

Plus it has a drop down sunvisor. It's more a road bike helmet with a peak than adventure style, off road with a vi...
