I'm a slow steady rider - so not speedy! Mostly urban (hence the slow - most roads are 20mph!). I'm a bit fair-weather and would avoid the wet too!
Ideally I want the tyre to last..
buy the sounds of it Pirelli is the way to go.

Tyre question..
My Gladius needs new tyres.
I've found a pair of these :
Conti Motion Or a pair of Pirelli Diablo
Any advice - I've not got enough experience to know which would be 'better'.

Re: I haven't been in here for ages.. but...
I've been told (by a friend in the know) that the bike needs new tyres and they will need scrubbing in. Not that I know really what that means - I'm guessing 'take corners slow'...
Any tips?

Re: ULEZ [for motorcycles]
well that IS interesting, as you could’ve done any number of mods since it left the factory. First i’ve heard of it. Honda appear to be the most helpful in this matter. Post 03 Hondas incur no extra fees. That link i provided includes a form specific to Hondas btw. So you’re on the TfL database and...

Re: ULEZ [for motorcycles]
if you have a Honda you can contact them direct and they will give you the information to show if your bike is compliant for free.
It is quite simple.
I think other motorcycles are similar.
There are a few lists on line to check your model against.

When I first drove a car I would breathe in to fit through a gap and lean forward to go up a hill.

Re: Bike colours
I find modern bikes all rather pointed (like an over bred Siamese cat.. with angles and spikes in all directions)
I wish that Kawasaki could do a toned down green version
Yellow bikes are my least fav
And i do quite like the orange ones - especially the black with a hint of orange up thread!

Re: What have you done today thread?
I went on a 1-2-1 bike ride today. Initially I was nervous - then slowly I relaxed. I made 'one error' - where I was not 'left enough' on a turn ( I realised I was in a driver position when the instructor pulled up next to me and said' this is why you should be further over!! And I missed one life s...

You want to try finding the blackcurrant stuff, I can't stand the normal stuff, rarer than hens teeth it is, bloody Thatcher. TBH you'd be as well with 2 Sudafed tabs and a hot Ribena. (Same with the lemon one, squeeze a lemon, add honey and hot water, drop 2 Sudafeds). For the most part the hot dr...

I asked the supplier - HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE.. they ...

So what is the old school way of stopping? I was taught - to 'feel the lemon - squeeze the lemon on the front break - whilst - slowly adding in back brake - and only touch the clutch - when you don't want to stall - I stopped a treat with no help from the machine I'm pretty confident about speed for...

Day 3- Road ride was OK a few learning points, but - on the whole good - even in heavy traffic - with people acting like 'nutters' - (I guy going the wrong way down a 1 way road) .. another cutting into the 3 of us riding (so between me and the second learner.. getting beeped at by our instructor - ...

Re: Anyone had their bike's NOx tested for ULEZ
Sorry my mistake it was a Honda CBR600F-6. I wrongly assumed the 'f' stood for 'Fazer'.. still new to all these bike names. (I think the bike before might have been a Fazer).
