Hello again
Hi Everyone Long time no see. Been so busy, just haven't had the time. I hope you're all ok, and still keeping it sticky side down. A quick question Have any of you sold your car to a car buying site, for a car on PCP? if you did, was the process easy and most importantly, did your finance get paid ...

Re: My Sister died
Driving home just now, Stairway to Heaven came up, so I cranked up the volume as it's one of my all time favourite tracks. Next thing I know, I've got tears running down my face as it reminded me of how my Sister introduced me to my (now) lifelong love of rock music.
Still, it was a good memory.

Re: My Sister died
Thanks for all your kind thoughts. I appreciate it. I get on great with my Sister's children, my Nieces/Nephew mean the world to me. She was a bully when we were growing up, but I put a stop to the physical part of it when we were in our twenties. She didn't attempt anything after that, just treated...

My husband is the one I talk to about it. She died on what would've been her Partner's Birthday 6 June.

My Sister died
My Big, and only Sister, died on Sunday. She was 63. We never had an easy relationship, in fact, we were polar opposites of each other, and growing up, She definitely wasn't very nice to me. Being older, I somehow always expected her to treat me decently, but maybe that was to do with the age gap (5...

Hair = Silver Vixen Clothes: Weekdays, when working, trousers (smart ones), top, plus hi-viz and safety boots. At home/night time, Cat clothes, usually black leisure type stuff, disguises cat fur, stuff. Going out, whatever I fancy, skirts/maxi dress/dresses/ripped jeans and a top or jeans plus top/...

Re: Umbrella companies
Out of all those offered to me I chose a company called JSA, good on fees and also will transfer to my private pension via salary sacrifice for no additional fee. Thanks, just looked them up. They're very pricey. Politely refuse if you can - ask for direct invoice and register self employed (if you...

Re: Umbrella companies
Hey @Pseudonym, I used to work for an umbrella company but it was a few years ago now so not so hot on recommendations. Just a question, why do you have to use their pension provider? You can opt out and make your own contributions. Second question, is this something you're going to be doing a lot ...

Re: Umbrella companies
Oh yeah, I forgot. I need to sort out the SDC part. Some companies are saying the end client needs to complete this assessment to see whether or not you're under their Supervision (S), Direction (D) or control (C), but others are saying I should do this assessment. I don't have a problem with that p...

Umbrella companies
Hello all, How is everybody? I need to find/use an umbrella company, and I am after some recommedations please? I've contacted 3 so far (all FCSA members), which is a requirement of the agency I'm going through. I don't mind that though, as at least I know there is some level of audit with those com...

In a recent job advert I was interested in. I came across this beauty. *Must have HIGH knowledge of...........*. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, instead of in depth knowledge of or something similar. "Must have 10 years experience of programming in {language}" (That was first released 5 years ago). :...

Re: Insignificant/ Significant things that BYP or just wind you up a little
A couple of weeks ago, I had to have a scan, so I am now wondering about my results. I ring up the docs, they don't have them yet, so I decide to ring the hospital. I wait while all the covid-19 stuff gets spoken about, the hospitals zero tolerance policy etc etc. By this time, you've been on the ph...

Re: What have you done today thread?
Finally got round to doing some of my more delicate knits washing done.
Took all the recycling out.
Cleaned up the kitchen, and baked a cake, which smellls lush and is busy cooling down on the rack, and yet it seems as if the entire day has disappeared already.

Rita F* ORA! She went to Egypt last year for a private gig, and failed to self-isolate when she got back. She held a private birthday party in a posh London restaurant, paid/bribed the Manager to open up for her and her friends/switch off the CCTV/ and keep fire doors locked (She's in breach of the...
