Today’s ride prompted a bit of a learning.
Heading out for a coffee at a great place, Jasper’s Coffee Shop in Market Bosworth, Leicestershire I passed through several villages with Magna and Parva in their names. Looking this up I learned it’s Latin for Large/Great and Smaller/Little.

Re: Triumph Street Scrambler
In an effort to keep up with the serious restorations and modding being brilliantly reported on in this section, I’ve done some further serious mods.
I found some silicon rubber grommets that perfectly fit the 4 bolt holes in that funny black plastic ledge at the back of the bike.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
I’ve a couple of rides recently.
1st was to a popular cafe for bikes and cars near Shipston on Stour called Revs.
This a pure vanity destination, as there was a photographer there taking pics of folks, and in the near 40 years I’ve been riding I have never had a picture of me on a bike.

Re: Ear plugs
Another Loop user here.
Tried various solutions over the years and these are the best solution I have found.
Expanding foam ones are good at noise isolation but give make my jaw ache after a while.
Custom ones were OK but didn't seem to fit well in my ears so noise reduction was not great.

I liked what they did with the CB1100RS a few years back.
I remember seeing it at the NEC a good looking bike, that was nicely done.

I heard good things about the Lemon Drizzle Cake served in the cafe of The National Herb Centre.
Off to Oxfordshire it was then to sample it for myself, it was good and so was the coffee but no pics sorry.
Then a trip around Warwickshire via Stratford-upon-Avon heading home.

Re: Brake Pads
Spurred on by this post I thought it was time to give the pads on the Triumph a once over.
After 8,000 ish miles they are down to about 1mm so not exactly in dire need for a swap but I thought I’d give them a new set.
New ones arrived the other day and I was immediately suspicious.

Great to be back to the early morning starts.
Being out before much of the world is active is another aspect of the warmer weather I love.
Today’s journey took me out to Staffordshire way for a coffee and cake at a great cafe on Tatenhill Airport.

I was 50/50 on that up to the point where he found out the motor was creating a decent spark, in part 3 video.
Now I'm more 80/20, fool/wise man dedicated to his art.

Why we do it
Here’s a nice video that delves into the phycological reasons of why we persist in doing this logically nonsensical activity.
Several of the explanations chimed with me, I’m sure that there are drivers for others that aren’t covered, but found it interesting that there are known phycological ...

Time for a quick check over and to make it a bit more respectable for its MOT.

Another nippy but sunny one, headed north today into the Warwickshire Leicestershire countryside.
I know it’s been said many times before here but heated gloves are a real game changer. They are the only real difference in my kit this year but in the past days like these I’d be 50/50 on heading ...

Re: Triumph Street Scrambler
The chain guard was one of the first things that I removed from the bike, a standard black plastic thing.
It’s run like that for the past 5 years and 4 MOTs with no problems. I have always assumed that because I have also removed the rear foot pegs and not fitted the separate rear seat a chain ...

Don’t be fooled by them blue skies, it was right at the limit for this fair weather biker today.
Glad I took my winter gloves and thermal body warmer in my backpack.
They made it a comfortable ride and enjoyable, rather than distractingly cold.

3 soon to be bridges courtesy of HS2
There’s one in the background of the 1st pic.
Let’s move on to the opposite, tunnels, underpasses, etc, any covered road or path.

Not on holiday but a few parts for work.
Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Puducherry.
Mumbai is huge and feels like the population is about 2x bigger than it can accommodate.
Every corner/space is occupied, if there is a space then someone has set up a shop or business.

Yesterday was too good an opportunity to pass up, so after an early morning meeting with India, I booked a days leave to head out for the 1st time this year.
