Re: CNC Routers - talk to me

Wish I could help with some practical insight butI have no experience with larger CNC systems. I have become quite adept with FDM/3d printing and the typical stumbling block when troubleshooting/setting up is operating system and software compatibility issues. I would probably start from the creati...

CNC Routers - talk to me

Been on my wish list for a while and am starting to seriously look - anyone got any advice or tips? I'm looking for a bed size of 1000x800, that should give the scope to do the projects I want, also build my own kitchen (I know I could do that with standard hand tools but that's awfully time consumi...

Re: Saw tables or...

Interesting thread. I've been pondering what to do. I have a B£Q trade card which means unlimited cuts on sheet material but hardwood ply round the corner is £9 cheaper than the store 10 miles away. That looks quite a smart 'jalopy'!
It'll do! SWMBO wanted something we could fit into to, that's it.

Long term plan is a proper overlander but that needs to be sorted.

Re: Diesel heaters for a cold garage.

A mate of mine has a diesel heater in his shed, works a treat. He routed the exhaust through a couple of old radiators and then out, and those warm up really nicely as well - might as well use that exhaust heat! They're also quite lenient on what they will burn, he's diluted old engine oil with dies...

Re: Friday thread... first of March.

Been a while since I did this. Picked up this jalopy yesterday as a current camping option, that'll do till I have a proper overlander sorted. So rest of the weekend is moving stuff from the old van to this one :)

Bugger, missed out on some lunches then! Sounds like you're not there anymore? No, finished in April. Wasn't there much anyway, worked from home come COVID, so we didn't miss any lunches! That was one the last bits of change that needed to happen, that company was part of a larger longer term probl...
