Friday thread... first of March.
I guess that should make it spring... but just makes it WET !!!
Fri. WFH then out with Mrs Weeksy for belated Valentines as we both had Lurgy so never went out.
Sat. Absolutely unknown due to weather, but i suspect it'll be Pontypool for the boy and his mate for uplift duties
Sun. Chilling and watching Strade Bianche racing from Sat if i can avoid the results.

Re: Friday thread... first of March.
First day back at work post op.
Saturday, gonna attempt a gym class in the morning as I've not been for weeks and feel fat and bloaty. Then we're off for a PFL at Ivy Asia at St. Paul's, just to keep me fat and bloaty.
Sunday we have long dog walk planned then a slow-cooker stew for early dinner. Nice.

Re: Friday thread... first of March.
Today, loitering and pootling around Dumfries, light shopping, bulk shopping, tea and bunsing.
Tomorrow, loitering somewhere else.
Sunday, same as Saturday.
Monday, sleeper to that London, the first leg of a train journey to Madrd.

Princess Anne moored her yacht in the loch at the back of my house earlier this year. I considered swimming out to try to sell them native crafts but the sea was a bit choppy.

Re: Friday thread... first of March.
Today - Work till 3ish, then getting a peppered steak and jerk chicken from local caribbean place. Back to mine for a quiet one in the studio finishing off 2 mixes.
Sat - Fuck all.
Sun - Sunday Roast Club no.24 this month at the Shakespeare in Redland. Only 6 of us this month as some are on holiday so will be a fairly quiet one. Good reports from this place that i didn't know existed in one of the most poshest area's of Bristol, so have high hopes for it to be a goodie. Show me the roasters...

I'd have swum out to Princess Margaret back in her prime.
Saucy minx that she was.

When my old man did his national service they stuck him in the Coldstream Guards and posted him to London, two years of guarding Buckingham Palace. He reckons when Princess Margaret was in residence she'd be out every night until early hours the next day.

I wouldn't dismiss her out of hand. All them years of horse riding would have toned certain muscles....

Same old same old! Tomorrow was expected to be horrendous on the roads. But it's snowing today and very low cloud, so there are a lot of people leaving today. The roads will still be bad, but maybe not SO bad!!
Heading to work in ten mins - I've roasted a chicken and made a chicken n mushroom n veg pie filling and the pastry - depending on how early my start is tomorrow, I might make some pies tonight!!

I'm going to start fitting my kitchen.
First job tomorrow will be chasing out from the consumer unit to the new oven location.... Which is the other side of an external door.

Off shopping for gym gear this evening. Tomorrow, we have our induction at the gym and then the hard work starts. Sunday, presumably gym and restarting the decorating.

I actually stopped going to the gym when my knee was so bad I couldn't get up the stairs to the weights and cardio stuff!

I don't think I've ever heard anyone describe Princess Ann as nice before, she must of improved with age, 10 years ago I thought she was devoid of any personality when I had the dismal pleasure of meeting herPotter wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 8:18 am After decades of an incredibly busy life I often feel like we don't really do much anymore, but thinking about it, we kind of still do, but at a slightly slower pace.
We'll go out for breakfast tomorrow as usual at the yacht club, we were there last night when Princess Ann popped in for an early evening tipple, what a nice lady. Then we collect some family from the airport who are coming to stay for a couple of weeks (we're not in the UK this month), then we have a luncheon appointment and a black tie event in the evening. I don't really fancy the event but I can't miss it, so I'll endure and sport a stuff upper lip.
Sunday will be a family day with some sailing, we're new grandparents so I'm expecting puke/incontinence, the baby also pukes and shits himself as well

I found her to be quite friendly, if a little abrupt and direct.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 12:43 pmI don't think I've ever heard anyone describe Princess Ann as nice before, she must of improved with age, 10 years ago I thought she was devoid of any personality when I had the dismal pleasure of meeting herPotter wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 8:18 am After decades of an incredibly busy life I often feel like we don't really do much anymore, but thinking about it, we kind of still do, but at a slightly slower pace.
