Prime Day

Post by Silly Car »

Anyone spotted any cracking deals?

Mine so far are

5th gen echo dots down to £25 from £55
Fire stick down from £45 to £23

I missed out on a listing error of 22% off a Huepar laser level making it £115 with a further £35 voucher against the reduced price. By the time I added it to the basket and went to check out, the £35 voucher had disappeared.

Sounds expensive. How much for the whole box of matches?

I already bought a new electric toothbrush 6 months ago, so I don't need Prime Day this year.

Nope, but plenty of 'deals' where they've inflated the base price to make the 'deal' look better than it is.

I had an email from tp-link about a 31% discount on Amazon for something I actually want, I opened it and it's 0.3% cheaper than direct from the tp-link website. I'd need to add postage on for Amazon so it's more overall.

Website is acting up here, only thing showing under *automotive* is battery chargers...

DIY/tools only shows fucking vacuum cleaners, ear pods & Apple watches.

I use Amazon quite a lot but Prime Day leaves me completely cold. You have to give me at least 30% off to make me interested and they should know what I buy and have algorithms to throw items and me that they think I might like - but instead I get presented with jumble sale style listings of everything with tempting offers like "7% off!". Nah.

I just looked at a Crucial 1Tb SSD on Amazon. (I bought one from there not long ago for £51.99). Now...£65.99 and that's with '27% off'. Yeah, right.

I'm always scoping the price of 2T oil.

Amazon are offering Castrol Power semi smoker at £9.98 down from £11.75.

The last lot I bought was around 7 quid odds.

meh.

My prime day email had something in it that I'd previously bought, at the beginning of June, for about 10% more than I'd paid for it then.
