Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
I was going to post this in the Riding Challenge thread, but I thought most people wrongly believe my motorcycle isn't 'cool' :o so it would be difficult to have it next to a bike as cool as mine is. So I popped down to the Honda dealership in Newcastle to have a look at the new Honda WN7. If you ...

Re: Starloinkusershow many sockets do you need
I got the 100 Mbps residential for £35. I was going to upgrade my fibre to 1Gb from 540Mb, but for an extra tenner I could get Starlink 100Mbps so decided to have that as well as the fibre. Installation was fairly easy. The worst part was getting on the roof and running the cable into the loft. I ...

The VED on my Livewire One has arrived. £26.
Yet my neighbours 15 year old diesel Polo is only £10

I saw a video the other day. In the early days it will depend on if your role involves moving bits, or atoms. If your moving bits your role will be taken over sooner. If your moving atoms you will have a bit longer.

I haven't read all the 4 pages of comments, but voted for it to stay. Not that I post here regularly but I mope about the place most days.
In the politics section its a place that I have changed my opinions and views, because of the posts on there. I see that a good thing.

Re: Electric motorbikes.
Have seen this on a few YouTube videos and on websites around. I like the Verge and thought they have a nice looking motorcycle...... but I don't believe the hype around the battery. The best explanation I've seen about it, is its a large capacitor rather than a battery.

Used Nord for a couple of years without ant issues. Plenty of offers around for it and others. I use it all the time on all my devices, you can install it on upto 10 devices. I haven't had any issues with it. I haven't tried any others as I'm happy with it.

Re: Bye bye, Triumph...?
I love my LiveWire One. To answer Taipans question. Its all about the power delivery. I just love the way an electric motor gives the torque and power, instant and goes on and on. I also love the look of the bike. But its like everything, some like it some don't. Admittedly I have taken a very large ...

Its just the LiveWire One they stopped making. They are still making the newer S2 models, but they look more like trials bikes to me. Not my style at all.Dodgy69 wrote: Thu Aug 21, 2025 1:34 pm Have they stopped making all leccy bikes or just that model. ? It ain't for me either, but I do admire folk who think outside the box.![]()

I started to write out my reply a couple of days ago to another post I made a while back to which Skub has revived. I wanted to wait until, I actually had the bike and that it had its first 1000 mile service before outing myself :D

Re: VPN With Free Trial
Been with Nord VPN for well over a year now. absolutely no problems at all with it. Would definitely recommend them. Used it on PC, Firestick and on a router. Good reliable speeds and some good configuration options if you want them, or a quick and easy installation.

Unfortunately I'm going to decline to comment. I knew the question would come up, but I'd rather wait until its all been finalized. Not all will like my choice, he says, to tease a little more.

out of interest, what others may be for sale? C
I have a 1976 Suzuki GT750 and a 2001 Ducati 996 that will also be getting dumped for the new love. Seems harsh I know but I've had them in my garage for a lot of years and I would like them to goto someone who would appreciate them as much as I ...

Triumph T140v, selling for a new love...... soon......maybe.... hopefully
I'm putting this up for sale as soon as its passed its MoT. Thought I'd try here to see if anyone is interested as there are a few as old as myself on here and its a small community. The reason for doing so is many fold. I'm not enjoying the tinkering with them anymore, and I have fallen for a new ...

Re: Travelling to forrin lands - anybody used an eSIM?
I used one in the USA last month. We went to Vegas for a holiday, felt a little lost when I didn't have data. I just did a search for eSim and found one $10 for 10Gb, it was time limited for about a month. Worked a treat. Can't remember which provider I used but it wasn't anyone I recognised. Easy ...
