Have you got a VPN?
If so, which one and how much does it cost? I know nothing about them either, do I need an account for each email address or device?
TIA

Re: Have you got a VPN?
Yes I do, but it's only for adult online media, so I use the free one bundled in Opera.

Yes....and no.
Got at least one bundled with security software but never felt the need to install them. Maybe this thread will convince me that I should.

The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Re: Have you got a VPN?
Yes. I have a NordVPN account, originally bought for when i went travelling and wanted to use the WiFi in dodgy foreign cafes
They do regular 3 year deals for a single payment so i tend to use those
I only turn it on when I'm forced to use a public WiFi access point, the connection across the VPN can be a bit ropey sometimes.

Nord VPN here too. I find it far better than PIA was for streaming when travelling etc.

Used Nord for a couple of years without ant issues. Plenty of offers around for it and others. I use it all the time on all my devices, you can install it on upto 10 devices. I haven't had any issues with it. I haven't tried any others as I'm happy with it.

Re: Have you got a VPN?
I've used the Opera vpn to try and retrieve photos from imjur after they stopped allowing access from UK users. At times it is very slow and some folders of pics don't fully load. Maybe a paid for vpn would be more useful, but I'd hate to stump up and be in the same boat.

I briefly started looking before deciding advice from here is probably advisable, but I’m sure surfshark did a free trial period?Skub wrote: Sat Oct 18, 2025 11:51 am I've used the Opera vpn to try and retrieve photos from imjur after they stopped allowing access from UK users. Re: Have you got a VPN?
Currently use cyber ghost, used to use nord, and once my subscription expires for CG, I will be going back to Nord.
CG is ok for basic stuff (Motogp etc) , but lacks the depth and sheer quantity of servers that nord can access
BTW.....since when has the Internet had pr0n on it?

Another vote for Proton free. You can choose from a few countries. I was told Netherlands or France, as they're close.
Haven't really bothered before but recently got a new iptv and they recommended it.

I used Nord when I was traveling. I paid monthly and cancelled when I got home.

Surfshark here. Used for watching MotoGP via a free to air service in Belgium. Does what it says on the tin.
