Re: Find me a van then...

It ran off the 12V van electrics and had a cut off if the battery voltage dropped enough. It'd be easy to combine it with a leisure battery and not worry.

I'll try and find a link for it.

Re: Find me a van then...

My ex-BT Mk5 Transit had an Eberspacher unit that was plumbed into the coolant system. There was a timer so the van could be set to be warm before you drove off or woke up. It also had a hand wash basin and tap.

Re: I have a horrible feeling my T4 van's head gasket is toast

The prize for hardest-working van of the year Nothing to do with vans of course, but this reminds me of when I first started working on aerospace actuation systems. Modern airliners spend more time flying than they do on the ground, it can be up to a 70/30 split on long haul stuff! Took me a little...

I'd say the other way about, it's easier to shit in the woods than cook in the woods.

I was taught, in a 4* hotel kitchen no less, slightly less than fresh eggs and then cooled under running cold water until cold.

I was a KP as a youth, I peeled lots of hard boiled eggs. And a lot of vegetables.

Up to a point.

Re: Alternative to a phone camera, not too bulky and not too spendy.

I'm off to Vietnam end of next month, which I believe will provide opportunity for many an arty photo shot. My trusty ol' Galaxy 10 has a relatively ok camera, although I'm sure if you showed me photos taken with a spanking new phone I'd eat my words. Anyhow, I'm thinking of maybe getting a little ...

It needs a way wider rear tyre to cope with all that throbbing power.

Trying to get all the stuff in the greater proportion of the house into the smaller portion so the new floor tiles can be laid. That's the kitchen, utility room, front porch and living area into three other rooms that are also in use.

Unreliability doesn't quicken the pulse for me, it just makes less likely to use that vehicle. I've not much important stuff do but even taking the bins out is preferable to waiting for the recovery vehicle.

Why - have you packaged up all the rubbish and affixed the "Return to sender" addresses from your junk-mail to it?
