Re: Tyson vs Jones Jr

Could you beat your younger self in a fight? I'm 52 but I could defo batter myself when I was 25. I dunno about that. My middle son is 31 now and I'm a fairly fit 65. From he was little he always measured himself against me and up until maybe 5 years ago I could still set him on his arse, but the ti...

Taking the knee eh?

Bike lives matter.

I used to have a pic at the Ron Haslam school at Donnington, but I dunno where it is,probably more of a knee hovering pic anyway!

Re: What was the best bike you have ever owned

For me each bike is of it's era and all of them at the time have been the best bike I've ever owned. I have never bought a bike as my 'main' bike, that I didn't lust after and want above all others. My choice of bikes may not have always been the best in their respective classes,or win road tests and...

Re: Who wants to be Tom Cruise then ? GPZ900R on Ebay

The ZH2 probably would be a better road bike and more of an all rounder than the ful fat H2R.
I thought the ZH2 hid it's weight quite well, however it wasn't the weather to push it,so I can't say with any authority. Ming would be your man to ask.

Yeah,I'd want it for way less than that.

Great bike in their day. I knew mine inside out...from necessity!

I use RST Aramid jobbies, they fit well and are very comfy. I don't even own leathers any more.

No one talking about the sounds?

No more thudding of V twins, screaming of inline fours,no crackling strokers,no howl of triples and that's before you get to V6 8 or 12 car donkeys?

Ever listened to Moto E?

I have. :(

Yeah! I managed to misbehave badly enough to have my premium loaded by 400% and it was still affordable for an engineering apprentice.

I was 19 when I bought a Z1,which didn't do anywhere close to 180,but it was the fastest thing out there at the time. Biking had lots of young folk back then,or it seemed that way.

Buys one?

Most sellers will look for the right money, rather than a birth certificate. ;)

Lithium battery information

Lithium batteries are ever more common and possibly much improved. I found this article from 'motorcycle.com' to be an interesting read, maybe biased a little against the old lead acid jobbies, but helpful to anyone needing info, nevertheless. https://www.motorcycle.com/products/lithium-motorcycle-batt...

Re: What have you done today thread?

My Stepmum died today and I had to break the news to my Dad. Not the best day ever.

Covid restrictions are making the funeral arrangements very difficult,I feel like I've spent the day wading through treacle.
