Dammit!! Forgot about heat!!Bigjawa wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 11:46 am Take it you've pulled the wee tab? Failing that, credit card slid under the rubber, you might have to get a bit forceful with it.
Or hot water poured on the outside of the windscreen where its attached.
Dude, you want to let the FUF loose with a Stanley knife?mangocrazy wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:38 pm A Stanley knife blade inserted at a 20 degree (ish) angle should slide between window glass and suction cup and break the seal.
Yeah, fair cop. Forget I ever mentioned it...Bigjawa wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:51 pmDude, you want to let the FUF loose with a Stanley knife?mangocrazy wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:38 pm A Stanley knife blade inserted at a 20 degree (ish) angle should slide between window glass and suction cup and break the seal.
It'd be carnage!

What's the French for double entendre?Yorick wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:27 pm We must all be getting old and boring.
Back in the old days there'd have been dozens of smutty replies about the thread title.

Not my vehicle
Yes to the little lever, nope to the little tab letting air out!Mussels wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:23 pm Gently pulling the little tab should let some air in and make it drop off, was there a lever you pushed to make it stick?
Potter wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:30 pm Did you stick it on?
Let’s hope it wasn’t stuck on by someone using super glue.
As people have said, pull the tab or slide something in if you can to break the seal.
It has been in the past! Luckily I didn't have one to handBigjawa wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:51 pmDude, you want to let the FUF loose with a Stanley knife?mangocrazy wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:38 pm A Stanley knife blade inserted at a 20 degree (ish) angle should slide between window glass and suction cup and break the seal.

I did have my hopes raised on reading the titleYorick wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 12:27 pm We must all be getting old and boring.

LOL I've had some like that, this one is the total opposite!!
This has that, but the base is proper sticky. Usually the ones I've had have been plastic and rely on the suction bit to keep them in place (so a lot fall off, as above!!). This one is full on proper sticky!!Felix wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 10:00 pm All the ones i have had had a little lever you pushed to release the suction then pull that little tab. See this one says lock on the middle lever.
