Friday thread, the pre-valentines one

Post by weeksy »

So it's nearly Valentines, i'm hoping you've all got something romantic planned... but knowing you lot, i very very much doubt it.

Fri. First day working this week with lurgy, TBH i shouldn't out of bed though. I'm absolutely rubbish. Afternoon, driving to Dyfi, beers and bollox with @crust
Sat. Dyfi bike park with @Weeksy08 and @crust , how wise a plan, mmmmm not so sure.
Sun. I doubt i'll even get out of bed in truth.

I buy my wife gifts all year round, even though I’m not exactly the romantic type. She knows…

Wife is out with her mates tonight, dunno if I’m chauffeuring or not yet? Tomorrow paint some ceilings. Hopefully fit new super radio thing to the camper. Tomorrow night off to a Tapas restaraunt then back here for drinks.

Sunday last coats on ceilings and dunno after that. I.m on my own as the wife is out shopping with my sister, so might drag my lad down the pub if I can get him away from his ps5?

Enjoy.

Friday - childminder is off today so I’m off with the wee man, I’ve got the golf club prize giving tonight.

Saturday - wash the cars, it’s been too long, hopefully the frost or snow stays away.

Sunday - golf in the morning, relax the rest of the day hopefully.

Friday, have lurgy, managed to avoid it at work for last 3 weeks but now I think I’m coming down with it. Wash and lube MTB after Wednesdays mudfest. Dump trip. Wash Car.

Saturday. Not a lot, muddy, weather dodging dog walks

Sunday, see Saturday.

Today is slinging some plasterboard on to the exposed studwork.
Tomorrow will be exposing more studwork. Maybe moving some furniture about the place.
Sunday, don't know.

I've just arranged a last minute European city break for two on the 14th....Limo to the airport, nice hotel with all expenses paid, dinner and drinks, fancy car when we're over there for getting about, late night flight back.

Me any my colleague are gonna have a great time visiting that supplier :obscene-birdiedoublered:

Fri - A bit of work in the evening
Sat - I need to finish running in my bike. It's 70 miles under the minimum and it's booked in for Thursday. I've just checked the forecast and it's looking favourable
Sun - Cooking a roast and cleaning the bike
Valentines - I'm pleasing myself so it should be easy and cheap with a guaranteed good nights sleep

Today - covering for a colleague who still hasn't got his licence back so 3 schools today on a mission, will hopefully be back before 6. Also looks like the SCS carpet fitters are coming as their boss messaged me to say they will be with me between 1-3, yeah right!

Tonight - Testing out some new mingle mangle (MDMA). Hopefully will be able to get a mix sorted and then bliss out feeling amazing for a few hours as i have been in a fairly bad place mentally this week (angry all the time) so want to have a bit of happiness tonight. Mate is also popping over for a few hours. Takeaway food from local caribbean.

Sat - Fuck all - enjoying my new carpets hopefully.

Sun - Taking the parents, sister and BIL out for a carvery on me to say thanks for helping with removing the old carpets etc, then hopefully going back to clean the car if weather is ok and finish off with a session in the studio touching up the mix i do tonight. None stop for someone who refuses to fail...:)

Probably pop out for a meal tonight as the usual Friday Takeaway just isn't appealing.
Saturday and Sunday, probably not much as most routes in and out of town are flooded again

Friday: Dog to the vet for surgery, tore her dew claw out. Will collect her later on. Was the at the school for the 9am Eucharist and then handed out awards as the Governor. Great service. About to have a wedding meeting with a couple who want to tie the knot in the church. Heading out after that for a pastoral meeting, then collect said dog from the vet after 2pm. Will give her loads of cuddles and some food! Collect wife from station at around 6.12pm, give her loads of food and cuddles too, and some wine!

Saturday. Prayers at 9am, then some visits, prepare sermons for Sunday. Cooking, tidying up house and more.

Sunday. Transfiguration of Christ Festival, so two nice services and sermons. Then a quieter afternoon. Might be able to give dog a very small walk.

Then half term next week for the wife, PCC meeting for me on Tuesday night, Ash Wednesday (start of Lent) and so on. Much else happening in the background, families, pastoral issues and building issues to deal with.

Valentines day will be quiet, but I've got some great stuff for the wife, Lego Flowers!! Just for a change, to "build on our love".... ;-)

One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Started the day with a flat tyre on the commuting FocusOfDestiny TM, so got a lift to the station and went into the office today purely so I could go out for lunch and a couple of drinks with some existing and old colleagues - been ages since having a lazy work day, so that was nice 😊 heading home on the train now.

Got the news that I've got the job that I really wanted to get, but there'll be some back and forth on the package next week I suspect, so it's too soon to properly celebrate, but good news nonetheless.🥳

Weekend jobs will be selected based on the weather: from either laying a path, or having a clear out/tidy up of a room that's turned into a bit of a dumping ground.😬

Muz has got me a new tyre sorted while I've been at work, so that's one job ticked off already 😎

Oh, and we don't do Valentine's day, but it is my mum's birthday this weekend, so I'll be buying some overpriced flowers regardless 😆

This afternoon was mad - 6.5 hours of constant calls requesting taxis for this saturday or next. FFS, when will people realise that when you book your holiday, you book your flight, cos you know, how you get there is quite important! Well, booking a taxi from the station should be done at the same time as booking accommodation when it's for peak weekends   Then upset someone who basically tried to bust the office door down, despite it being locked and a curtain pulled across - when I finished the call I was on, I went to talk to them and he and his friends wanted a taxi from here to, well, somewhere. And got pissy when I pointed out that, whilst we had no one available, I did actually need to know WHERE they wanted to go to enable me to give them names of companies that might actually be able to help

Tomorrow and Sunday. Driving - two pretty big days.

Monday, work then meet up with some friends of Scott's in the evening. They've brought some stuff over from the uk for me :D :D

Wednesday - if the weather is good probably walk up a mountain! After that, same old same old. Coffee on my own (but at my friends cafe, so someone cute to look at! LOL), then probably dinner on my own chez moi!  No different to the last umpteen years I spose!!

Actually - some friends might be booking a table for that evening but I'm not 100% sure cos it's two couples and (if I go)two singles - not sure I want to be in that situation!! :wtf: But might have to so my mate doesn't feel like a gooseberry!!
