Ronald upgrades his workshop..

Post by ZRX61 »

YT channel usually features his bike & car restos... He doesn't hide his screw ups.

I like this guy, he's meticulous and deadpan. A little bit like a US Version of the Binky guys. That Fiero resto took years. Typically months between updates, because these things take time and he's not desperate for twice-weekly updates based around lifestyle and pranks (although I quite like pranks!)

I bet he's starting to wish he pulled that fecking shed down though.

In the US it's not unusual to jack up a 2 car garage that size, pour a new stem-wall & replace the sill plate if there is rot. Sometimes 3 courses of block to raise the garage 2ft or so etc. It's actually pretty easy.

I watched all 9 episodes of his RX project. Very funny at times. It was a year out of his life to fix a dog which still looked like a dog afterwards, but at least it ran and kept it's fluids inside.

Him impact driving the fork tops off while the top yoke pinch bolts were still tight, was one highlight. We've all done bloody stupid thing,so in many respects the whole thing was quite real world.

He would have received that gas tank from Europe if he'd stated *exhibition & racing* on the customs paperwork.

That header above the garage door wouldn't meet code. It needed 1/2in ply sandwiched between the 2x12's with construction adhesive & x many nails.
US lumber isn't what it states. Ferinstance:
2x4 is actually 1.5x3.5 in
2x8 is 1.5x7.25in etc
