*WARNING* Car thread....

Post by Wreckless Rat »

**Sexist thread - bite me**

So, bored with not much to do yesterday, I sat tinkering in the living room with ITV4 on.... a full day of BTC racing from Croft....

I noted that in one race series, the hybrids, there was a girl driver *shock horror* Jade Edwards

Anyway, I watched with keen interest, and sadly she didnt do that well, but I was wondering, do any male drivers who finish behind her, get a tampon given to them??

Lol, you say 'that sensitive' as if you're on the verge of acceptability and only snowflakes might find it a bit fucking grim.

It's maybe just because most women don't wish to pursue a motorcycle racing career. That deep vein of testosterone and aggression is undoubtedly a big part in what drives men to want to compete.

Physically, there is no reason a woman can't be fast and competitive on the lighter bikes at least.

Anyone who thinks women can't ride bikes need to do some track days, when you're quicker than every woman on your chosen track day your opinion might be worth taking notice of, but then you'd really need to be faster than all the women who race to really be able to comment.

I've raced against Annie Seel, she's was a lot quicker than me 20 years ago.

Always strikes me as a little odd that in a sport which is obsessed with low weight and small size, a group of people who are typically 10-20kg lighter and a few inches shorter aren't better represented.

The trouble is: they’re short, light and sensible.

Actual women, obviously.

Read about Beryl Swain, she challenged men's egos so much they changes the rules to stop her competing in TT.

Given the attitudes of some men on here and in the wider world I'm surprised there's any women in motorsport at all, and for that matter on this forum.
